Quest Background Color — User Guide

Getting Started

Type /qb (or /questbg) in chat to open the settings panel.

Settings Panel

Control	Description
Enable addon checkbox	Turns the addon on/off without changing your saved colors
Background Color swatch	Click to open the color wheel — pick any background color
Background Opacity slider	0% = fully transparent (invisible), 100% = fully opaque (solid)
Quest Text Color swatch	Click to open the color wheel — pick a color for all quest text
Reset to Defaults	Restores the original dark amber background and gold text

The color wheel updates the quest window live while you drag. Clicking Cancel in the color wheel reverts to what it was before you opened it.

Slash Commands

Command	Effect
`/qb`	Toggle the settings panel open/closed
`/qb on`	Enable the addon
`/qb off`	Disable the addon (restores original quest window appearance)
`/qb reset`	Reset all colors to defaults

What it affects

All quest-related windows: NPC greetings, quest descriptions, progress dialogs, reward screens, and gossip dialogs — including the quest name list when an NPC offers multiple quests.
