QuadHeal-0.24.0.zip
What's new
QuadHeal 0.24.0 has grown up!
QuadHeal continues to get out of hand. Three areas have joined the party, the Spell Map has discovered minimalism, and tanks and DPS now have presets too. Healers still get the comfy chair. Everyone else is welcome to click things.
## New layouts
- **Expert mode:** three areas, with one large half above or below two smaller quarters. Up to **15 spell bindings** with all five mouse buttons enabled.
- Choose **Large top** or **Large bottom**. The large area keeps its spells when flipped; the two smaller areas keep their left/right order.
- **Normal mode:** choose **Left / Right** or **Top / Bottom**. The settings diagram, preview, dividers and Spell Map follow the selected layout.
- **Single mode** now has its own understated green accent. Insanity can wait.
- New users and new spec profiles start in **Normal, Top / Bottom**, with only left and right mouse buttons enabled. Existing saved layouts and older Left / Right setups are preserved.
## Spell Map makeover
- Click the small **triangle over the bottom-right spell area** to open appearance settings. Click it again to close. No extra bottom strip.
- **Show title bar:** hide the whole header, including the cogwheel, for a smaller map. The triangle remains available to bring it back.
- **Show area names:** hide captions such as Top left and Top right, along with their space above the icons.
- **Show mouse button letters:** toggle L/M/R/4/5 independently of cooldown numbers, charges and status indicators.
- All three appearance choices, Normal direction and Expert position are saved **per specialization** and included in **JSON import/export**. Older settings codes remain supported.
- Raised the Spell Map above other interface windows.
- Small spell icons now default to **size 12**, including Reset. Existing saved sizes are preserved.
## Defaults for every spec
- Starter presets for **all 40 specializations**, collected in one file and grouped by class.
- Healer priorities are preserved. Tank and DPS presets prioritize friendly healing/support, then utility and personal defensives; unlearned spells are skipped.
- Preset priorities follow your active areas and selected mouse buttons. Use **Spec Defaults** to apply them to an existing profile; custom bindings are preserved until you choose to replace them.
## Fixes and performance
- Improved Spell Map cooldown and charge handling, including single-charge spells such as **Blessing of Freedom**.
- Mouse-button letters no longer disappear when their cooldown widget clears.
- Fixed icon-layout errors caused by protected Blizzard frame dimensions. Icons follow native frame anchors as frames resize.
- Oversized, negative and fractional spell IDs are rejected before reaching WoW's spell APIs. Invalid input does not replace a saved binding.
- Reduced repeated raid and Spell Map updates. Cooldown, charge and proc events are grouped into one visual refresh on the next rendered frame, and unchanged combat visibility no longer causes an unnecessary settings rebuild.
Changes to protected layouts and bindings apply after combat; cooldowns continue updating. Show the title bar again to drag an unlocked map. Happy clicking. Your modifier keys may now enjoy their retirement.
