CompassBar

A compass bar across the top of the screen, the kind you know from Skyrim. The direction letters slide past a marker as you turn, so you always know which way you face without glancing at the minimap.

Out in the world the bar also carries places from the map, each with a little icon and, if you like, its distance in yards: the quest you are tracking and the objectives of your other tracked quests, world quests, quest givers, your map pin, the members of your group in their class colors, your target and focus, dungeon and raid entrances, flight points, graveyards, points of interest, rares and treasures. Every kind has its own switch and a range, so you can keep rares on the bar only once they are within a few hundred yards, say. A gear on the bar's corner flips the switches without opening the settings.

Inside dungeons and raids the game keeps positions and your facing from addons, so there the bar shows the letters only, turning with you all the same.

Type /cbar for the settings, /cbar on and /cbar off to hide and show it, /cbar lock to lock it in place.

CompassBar is also a module of the QoLify suite. If you run both, the module stands by while this addon is enabled and picks up your settings once it is removed.
