PvpTarget

Battleground teammate PvP gear estimates and clear enemy nameplate cues.

PvpTarget

See your battleground team's PvP gear at a glance and make your selected enemy easier to spot. PvpTarget combines a configurable teammate roster with enemy nameplate cues for World of Warcraft Retail.

Team gear at a glance

  • Casual keeps the roster simple. Competitive aligns names and PvP readings in columns, with optional Equipped, Coverage and reading age.
  • See team role counts, fresh-reading coverage and a known average calculated from qualifying fresh PvP readings. Filters keep the full-team overview intact.
  • Sort by roster, role, name, PvP level or scan age. Keep row order fixed during combat if preferred.
  • Hover a teammate for equipment details, coverage and unavailable-slot explanations.
  • Move or resize the panel, adjust text size, scale and background opacity, and lock its position.
  • Collapse manually, collapse automatically during combat and restore afterward, or keep the roster expanded.

When enabled, Team gear appears in battlegrounds and supports up to 40 teammates. Nearby teammates are inspected gradually outside combat; cached readings remain available during combat. Scanning yields to Blizzard Inspect and other inspectors. You can pause scanning, refresh the roster or request a single teammate refresh outside combat.

Clearer enemy cues

A cyan TARGET label and corner brackets identify your selected enemy's nameplate. Optional cues show supported health markers, public roles, casts, interrupt information, crowd control, named defensives and objective pressure. Choose Minimal, Compact or Standard and adjust size and placement.

Enable enemy player nameplates in WoW to see these indicators. Cue availability depends on what the game exposes; hidden combat information stays unavailable.

Experimental estimated suggestions

Estimated suggestion is off by default. Enable it in Settings → Enemy cues, with Urgent banners enabled, to allow one gold SUGGEST ~ banner when usable public evidence is available.

The cue prioritizes current public objective evidence, an assigned healer role, or a briefly remembered public healing-associated cast. Recent casting does not prove a healer role or that a heal landed. Urgent combat cues retain priority, and missing evidence can mean no suggestion.

This is a limited estimate, not a reliable best-target calculation. It does not automatically select targets or perform combat actions.

Preparation, history and settings

  • Optional equipment/talent reference reminders use a brief battleground notice and optional sound. You choose the reference; the addon does not change your setup.
  • Match history stores up to 50 completed battlegrounds for the current character, with result and duration when available. Missing duration shows as unknown.
  • Search Settings, save named setups, compare before applying, and manually import or export preferences.
  • Clearly marked sample views help you configure the roster and enemy cues outside battlegrounds and combat.

Understanding gear readings

Your own PvP average comes from the player API. Teammate readings marked ~ are estimates from inspectable equipment and PvP tooltip scaling; bracket or global scaling can differ. Equipped is the normal equipped item level. Coverage describes readable equipment weights. Missing, restricted or out-of-range equipment stays unavailable rather than receiving a guessed value.
