PVPScore

PVPScore is a World of Warcraft addon for players who want faster PvP context before a duel, arena opener, battleground fight, or group discussion. Instead of making you inspect achievements manually, it reads a player's public PvP statistics and turns them into an easy-to-scan PVPScore value with a rank label.

What It Adds

PVPScore calculates a PvP rating from several visible statistics:

  • Duel wins, losses, total duel count, and duel win rate.
  • Arena wins, losses, total arena count, arena win rate, and highest 2v2, 3v3, and 5v5 personal ratings.
  • Rated battleground rating, wins, losses, and win rate when the data is available.
  • Honorable kills and killing blows from arena and battleground play.

The addon combines those numbers into one PVPScore and assigns a readable rank, such as star-style ratings and special high-end labels like God of War, God of Arena, or Sura. This gives players a quick impression of whether a target looks like a casual PvPer, a duel-focused player, an arena veteran, or a very experienced opponent.

How It Changes the Game Experience

PVPScore adds PvP awareness directly to the places where you already make decisions. When you target or focus a player, the addon can show their score rank near the target or focus frame. That means you can size up a possible duel opponent, flag carrier, arena target, or world PvP threat without opening multiple panels.

When you open your own character frame or inspect another player, PVPScore can add duel stats, arena stats, and the calculated PVPScore to the frame. This makes the default inspection experience more useful for PvP players because the important competitive history is summarized beside the character information.

In arenas, PVPScore can automatically report opponent scores as enemies are detected. For example, as arena1, arena2, and arena3 become known, the addon can announce each opponent's class, name, score, and rank to the instance chat or local chat channel. This helps teams quickly recognize which enemy may be the most experienced or which target deserves extra attention before the gates open.

PVPScore can also send PvP summaries to chat on demand. You can print the target's score locally or share it to say, emote, yell, party, raid, guild, or instance chat. If your group is deciding whether to invite a player, discuss an arena opponent, or compare PvP experience, the addon gives you a compact summary instead of asking everyone to inspect achievements separately.

Useful Features

  • Target and focus frame score display, with configurable X and Y positioning.
  • Character and inspect frame additions for duel score, arena score, and total PVPScore.
  • Automatic arena opponent score output.
  • Chat output commands for local display and common chat channels.
  • Configurable output sections, so you can choose whether to include duel, arena, arena rating, rated battleground, kill, and total score details.
  • A cache window that stores recently calculated players by name-realm, faction, race, class, score, and rank.
  • Sortable cached player list for reviewing players you have already inspected.
  • Configurable cache retention and a clear-cache option.
  • Key bindings for printing or sending score information quickly.
  • Localized interface strings for English, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese.
  • Support for the default unit frames and common custom unit frame names used by addons such as X-Perl and Shadowed Unit Frames.

Commands

  • /ps - Show the target player's PVPScore locally. If no player is targeted, it checks your own character.
  • /ps s - Send the score to Say.
  • /ps e - Send the score to Emote.
  • /ps y - Send the score to Yell.
  • /ps p - Send the score to Party.
  • /ps r - Send the score to Raid.
  • /ps i - Send the score to Instance chat.
  • /ps g - Send the score to Guild.
  • /ps all - Show the full PvP statistic output locally.
  • /ps config - Open the PVPScore configuration panel.
  • /ps cc - Open the cached player list.
  • /ps help - Show command help.

If another addon already uses /ps, PVPScore also registers /ps2 and /pvpscore.

Why Download It

The base game exposes PvP achievements and statistics, but it does not turn them into quick decision-making information. PVPScore fills that gap by summarizing PvP history into a compact score, placing that score on unit frames, and making it easy to share with teammates. It is especially useful for players who duel, queue arenas, join rated battlegrounds, inspect potential teammates, or simply want a clearer picture of the PvP experience behind the character they are targeting.
