PT → EN Offline Chat Translator for World of Warcraft

PT2EN Translator is a lightweight addon for World of Warcraft that automatically translates your Portuguese (BR) messages into English before sending them.
It uses a local dictionary (phrases + words) with no internet connection, so it is 100% ToS-safe.

✨ Features

• Translate phrases and words from Portuguese → English.

• Works with the prefix !tr in chat.

• Expands easily with dictionary_basic.lua and dictionary_wow.lua.

• Logs missing words so you can grow your dictionary.

• Auto-clears missing words after /reload or login, keeping only new entries.

• English “post-processor” improves grammar (to be, a/an, WH-questions, negatives).

🔧 How to Install

1. Download and extract the PT2EN folder to:

    

   World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/

2. Confirm the structure:

    

   Interface/AddOns/PT2EN/ PT2EN.toc PT2EN.lua dictionary_basic.lua dictionary_wow.lua

3. Launch WoW and enable PT2EN in the AddOns menu.

📝 Usage

• Type in chat:

   

  !tr vamos nessa?

  → becomes "Let's go?" before being sent.

• Commands:

  • /pt2en missing → Shows current missing words (up to 20).

📂 SavedVariables

• PT2EN_Missing → Cache of missing words (session only).

   

   

🛠 Contributing

• Expand the dictionary in dictionary_basic.lua or dictionary_wow.lua.

• Copy missing words from SavedVariables using /pt2en dump.

• Share your updated dictionary with the community!

Ele usa um dicionário local (frases + palavras), sem internet, totalmente seguro dentro das regras da Blizzard.

🔧 Instalação

1. Baixe e extraia a pasta PT2EN em:

    

   World of Warcraft/_retail_/Interface/AddOns/

2. Confirme a estrutura:

    

   Interface/AddOns/PT2EN/ PT2EN.toc PT2EN.lua dictionary_basic.lua dictionary_wow.lua

3. Abra o WoW e ative o PT2EN no menu de AddOns.

📝 Uso

• Digite no chat:
