Updated for Cataclysm!
Yeah, I know... they are becoming a dime a dozen. However, I'd still like to throw my pole in the water with an addon that calculates PseudoPower based on the theory-crafting done at Shadowpriest.com and displays it on a tooltip. The PseudoPower addon will place the calculated PseudoPower (PP) rating of an item directly in the items tooltips. It also includes the rating including hit if applicable (PPH).
The PseudoPower Addon will let you know WHAT optimizations you should make to an item (if any). Its smart enough to check which professions you have and will only show you enchants that are applicable to your character (for example, if you aren't an enchanter, it won't show a ring enchant).
This addon also has flawless support for trinkets. I've been able to do the work up-front and the addon includes a database of trinkets. For those with technical interests, the database DOES NOT store the PP of the trinket directly (which would mean lots of manual updating every time new simulationcraft numbers came out). It actually stores the normalized stats (spell power, crit, etc) instead. So future changes to the scaling factors IMMEDIATELY correct the PP values for all trinkets in the system.
The addon includes many of the standard things you'd expect:
- Addon makes use of LibTipHooker library, so tooltips show on ALL pop-ups
- Includes a slash command "/pp" or "/pseudopower" that will summarize your PP and give you a total pp number (which is smart enough to ignore hit over the cap)[/l
