This addon allows a main healer to send notifications to the party when the following events occur:
- main healer got aggro (and need help getting it off of him/her)
- main healer lost aggro (usually because tank or others took it off of him/her)
- main healer is out of mana
Note, by "events" I do not mean that the addon will automatically send those messages. You have to trigger them yourself. This addon is just for easy configuration and to provide key bindings for those functions.
Additionally, the addon allows the healer to configure a backup healer and send the following messages to him/her:
- start healing (usually when the main healer thinks he's not enough to keep party alive)
- end healing (when things have calmed down, main healer got mana back, etc.)
The addon also got 24 (12 added in 0.4) configurable party chat messages with key bindings that can be used to quickly send a message to the party during combat. These messages can contain text strings to be replaced with the name and/or level of the current target of the player. The default values allows the player to issue some commands, like "Sheep this", "Sap that", "I need a mana-break" and so on. All of these are of course configurable.
New in 0.4 is a queue system for messages. If a message text ends in a + sign, it will be added to a buffer, but not yet sent to party chat. This means that you can trigger several such messages ending i + signs that will be added together as one big message, before you finally trigger one without a + sign at the end, sending the entire buffer to party chat. This allows you to piece together fairly complex messages and send to party chat without having to type them out.
These actions are all bindable to keys in the normal key bindings interface. Additionally, messages sent to backup healer and party chat is configurable through the command line interface.
Complete help and usage text is contained inside the addon itself, use /HN to get started.
This addon is not meant to replace addons that announces spellcasts. One wish I've heard already would be for the addon to keep the backup healer informed about what targets are healed and so on, but I've yet to figure out how this is done.
