Description
This modified version of Gatherer uses the last-inspected-time information that Gatherer can optionally keep track of in order to suggest a direction to ride or fly in order to quickly get to the next cluster of herb or mining nodes.
It uses a gravitational model. Each node location "attracts" the player towards it. The strength of attraction increases as more time passes since you last inspected the node. The net combined force of all the nodes determines the direction you should move. Only nodes in the current zone are considered.
IF YOU ALREADY USE GATHERER, BACK UP YOUR GATHERER FOLDER AND YOUR GATHERER DATA FILE BEFORE INSTALLING THIS. This is a replacement for Gatherer because I didn't bother to give it a different name.
If the arrow does not appear, be sure you are in a zone containing one or more Gatherer-tracked nodes.
If the arrow keeps pulling you toward the same node, be sure to do the following:
1. Turning on herb tracking or mining node tracking.
2. Enable the "Inspection" feature of Gatherer. This add-on doesn't work when Inspection is disabled, which it is by default.
3. If it's still not working, play around with the inspection distance and the number of nodes displayed. The arrow calculation assumes Gatherer is reporting the nearest nodes correctly. Sometimes it doesn't, and tweaking the settings is a workaround.
