MDHelper will -- as long as you are in a raid (or group, if you want) -- announce to a channel, raid, raid warning, or guild chat that you have cast Misdirection, and when it has faded from you (you've used all the charges, etc). This is intended to be a lightweight alternative to addons with timer bars etc.
There's very little configuration required. When it first loads you should see a screen that asks for a channel to output to. From then on you can change the channel with /mdhlp channel, or disable/enable the addon with /mdhlp on|off. If you want to announce MD in normal parties, use /mdhlp party.
It doesn't matter how you cast Misdirection. You can do it with a macro or without, MDHLP will always announce the actual target, and won't do anything unless MD actually casts.
