HIC is short for Hide In Combat.
This is primarily a service plugin for other plugins to register their interfaces.
When you're struck in combat, any registered interfaces that are open are closed automatically by HIC so you can concentrate on mashing up your target without any hindrance. The closed interfaces are then re-opened when your foe is dead. However, if the interfaces opens during combat, HIC will not close them for you as you may have a genuine reason for having them open.
HIC includes several minor interface improvements (see features).
Scenario:
You are reading your quest objectives, when are attacked suddenly by a sneaky rogue. HIC closes your quest log and you wallop the rogue into oblivion. Thereafter, HIC reopens your quest log and you continue reading as though nothing as happened.
Interfaces Support:
Supports standard Blizzard UIs, BookStore, Atlas, FishingBuddy, WIM, TradesBar out of the box. Other mods can register their non-combat interfaces by:
1. use HIC_AddInterface('Your Mod Name', 'Your Frame Name') in lua.
2. add '## X-HIC-Interfaces: Interface1,Interface2,InterfaceN' to mod's TOC

Slash Commands:
'/hic cic ( on | off )' - Toggles whether HIC closes interfaces in combat.
'/hic rac ( on | off )' - Toggles whether HIC restores closed interfaces post combat.
'/hic itic ( on | off )' - Toggles whether HIC ignore trades in combat.
'/hic mw ( on | off )' - Toggles Mouse Wheel support for inbox, merchant, books/parchments and spellbook.
'/hic scan' - Scans Add-Ons' TOC for registrations.
'/hic reset' - Retores default HIC registered interfaces and abandons any Add-On registrations.
'/hic' - Prints a help message to DEFAULT_CHAT_FRAME.
