By just passing your mouse over a set of potential targets, the first one that matches your configuration will automatically be targeted. A new target will only be selected if you don't have a living target.

Targets can be selected by levels, names, types and a variety of other attributes. As an example, you could specify to only target flagged enemy players between level 45 and 52 (see screenshot settings). Or you could select elite dragons that are non-trivial kills. For a quest, you could enter up to 3 different names to search for or you might have up to 3 player's names to track down.
