# Changelog

## [2.10.19] - 2026-10-07

- WoW: Forever: ProfitProphet works again after the Forever beta's October client update. That update stopped the game reporting itself the way ProfitProphet expected, so the addon mistook Forever for Classic: it stopped at login with "hit an error during login startup and stopped safely" (a `HookScript` error), and it set your Forever price history and ledger aside as if they belonged to another game. Forever is now recognised by its version number instead, and the first time you log in your data is restored — chat says "restored your forever data". Nothing was deleted.
- The **i** help button that 2.10.18 added now actually appears. It was built, but loaded into a table the windows never looked at, so it silently never showed on any version of the game.

## [2.10.18] - 2026-10-05

- Every window now has a small blue **i** on its title row. Hover it for a short explanation of the screen you are on — what it shows, where its numbers come from, and what to press. It follows you: open Deals and it explains Deals, switch to the Ledger and it explains the Ledger. The text is the same as the matching part of the full guide.
- The Deals, Vendor, Disenchant and Flip screens now say how old the scan behind them is ("From your scan 2h ago"), in amber once it is over half an hour old. Those screens read your last scan, not live prices, and nothing on them said so.
- The button on those rows now reads **Search AH** instead of **Search**, because that is what it does: it looks the item up on the auction house as it is right now.
- The SCAN tile and the new age line read the same clock, so they always agree. The footer under Browse search results now says "searched 2m ago" instead of "scan 2m ago" — it was the age of that search, not of your market scan, and read as a second scan clock that disagreed with the tile.
- The Options panel's import description now says what Import market data actually does since 2.10.16: it brings across everything Auctionator has priced, not just your tracked items.
- Retail and WoW: Forever: macros using protected commands, such as `/focus [@mouseover]`, no longer trip "ProfitProphet has been blocked from an action only available to the Blizzard UI". Since 2.10.10 one line of ProfitProphet rewrote the game's slash-command table, and the game then blamed the addon for any protected command a macro ran.
- Retail and WoW: Forever: gear, bags and recipes no longer show a market value far below what they sell for. Before 2.10.13 their prices were stored divided by how many were listed, and those old points stayed in your price history, which market value is built from — so a bag listed at 1g 2s could still read 17s 83c on the Craft tab. The first time you log in on each realm, ProfitProphet removes those old points and says how many in chat. Price history for stackable goods is untouched.

## [2.10.17] - 2026-10-01

- The Dashboard and the Ledger now say where your sales and purchases come from: they are recorded when you collect the auction house's mail, and only then. Until you have collected any, the profit graph and the Overview, Revenue and Expenses lists show a line saying so, instead of a bare zero that looked like the addon was not working. The line goes away the moment you collect your first invoice.
- Two changes in 2.10.16 that its notes left out: the deal re-check after a full scan now skips items where less than 1 silver is at stake, so its queries go on deals worth checking; and "Import market data" reads at most 30,000 items from the other addon in one go.

## [2.10.16] - 2026-09-29

- The Sniper has a **Max /unit** box next to Max buyout. Max buyout caps what the whole buy costs, which is the wrong limit on stacks: two hundred units at a copper each is 2g, so a 2g cap threw that away while letting a single 1g99s item through. The new box caps what each item costs. Both apply, and 0 means off, so nothing changes until you set one.
- Clicking Buy on a commodity now shows the **price per unit** the auction house quoted, not just the total — and says so when it comes back above the price the row advertised. Buying more units than the cheapest listing holds sweeps into dearer ones, so the price you actually pay per item can be higher than the one you clicked.
- "Import market data" now brings across everything the other addon has priced, instead of only the handful of items ProfitProphet already tracked. On a brand-new realm that list is nearly empty, so an Auctionator database with a couple of thousand items imported about seven. It reads Auctionator's own price database now. Items your client has not loaded yet are counted and reported, so you know to run it again once they have.

## [2.10.15] - 2026-09-29

- ProfitProphet now records which region you play in, so the desktop uploader files your prices under the right one. It could not ask the game before, and fell back to a setting that defaults to US - EU and KR players were uploading onto the US board without knowing.

## [2.10.14] - 2026-09-29

- Deals now tell you what a flip actually KEEPS. Hovering a deal shows its net after the auction house's 5% cut and after every posting that expires while you hold the item, priced against the next listing above the one you would buy - not against the median, because clearing an item inside a deadline means undercutting whatever is left. A positive-looking price gap can still be a loss once those costs land.
- New "/ppflip <days> <min profit in gold>" hides deals that cannot clear that profit over that holding period; "/ppflip off" restores the plain list. It is off by default. Items where only the cheapest price is known say so on the tooltip rather than guessing.
- Hovering a row in Deals, Vendor, Disenchant or Flip now shows the item's real tooltip - icon, item level, stats, bind and required level - instead of just its name in text. You could not tell what a deal actually was, which was worse if the item's name was in a language you don't read. Vendor, Disenchant and Flip rows showed no tooltip at all; now they do.

## [2.10.13] - 2026-09-29

- Retail and WoW: Forever: prices for anything sold one at a time (gear, bags, containers) were far too low. When several copies sat at the same price, ProfitProphet divided that price by how many were for sale, so a Small Silk Pack listed at 1g93s with six available read as 32s. That wrong number fed the LOWEST line, "Undercut lowest", the price the Sell tab suggests, Vendor Search and the deal lists, which is why a listing could look like a bargain and a sale could look worth taking when neither was true. Prices now read exactly what the auction house charges, and the AVAILABLE column shows how many are on sale at that price.
- My Auctions and the "uncollected" gold figure now value a listing of several copies correctly. They were reading one copy's price as the whole listing's worth, so a stack of the same item was undercounted and could read as undercut when it was not.
- The line in chat after a full market scan now says how many distinct items it found as well as how many priced entries it stored. On WoW: Forever most gear carries a random suffix, so one item turns into many names ("Superior Belt of the Boar", "... of the Elder") and each is priced separately, which is correct but made the total look about double what other addons report for the same auction house.
- Retail and WoW: Forever: posting several copies of an item in one go no longer multiplies your price by the number you are posting. The auction house takes a per-item price.
- The pass that runs after a full market scan can now be switched off with "/ppdealcheck off". It re-checks up to 80 deal candidates one at a time, which is what makes the Deals and Flip tabs trustworthy, but on a quiet or brand-new realm it is mostly waiting. Turning it off never costs you scan coverage: the full scan is already saved before it starts.
- The bar that runs after a full scan no longer looks like the scan itself only found a few items. What runs after the sweep is a shorter pass that re-checks deal candidates, and it now says so: "full scan saved - deal check: candidate 6 of 29" instead of "depth 6 / 29". The full scan had been working the whole time; its real total is the "Items priced" figure.
- The Scan tab in the auction-house window no longer reads "Items priced 0 ... full scan never" right after a scan that worked. Its readout is written when the scan commits, which happens a moment after the progress bar finishes, and only the main window was being told. Both windows now agree.
- WoW: Forever starts with a watchlist again. A new character there had an empty one — the curated starter set is Outland-era, so it was deliberately skipped — which also made Export Watchlist produce nothing. Forever now seeds its own vanilla set: cloth, leather, ore and bars, herbs, and the dusts and essences disenchanting produces.
- Starter packs are now only offered on the game they suit. WoW: Forever gets two vanilla packs; the Outland packs stay on Classic, where those items exist.

## [2.10.12] - 2026-09-23

- Item tooltips no longer flicker away a moment after appearing. On modern clients — Retail and WoW: Forever — ProfitProphet could redraw the tooltip from inside the game's own tooltip pipeline, which blanks it. It now never does that, and its price lines keep showing on every hover instead of stopping after the first.
- WoW: Forever now keeps its own market data. Forever tells addons it is Retail, so both were filed under the same flavor — different economies, different items, and realm ids that can collide. They are separate now, and your existing Forever prices carry over rather than being set aside.
- Every game whose auction house is faction-split — the Classic line, and now WoW: Forever — keeps Alliance and Horde prices apart. A price blended across two auction houses that never see each other is just a wrong price. Retail has one cross-faction auction house and is unchanged.
Market data collected before this change is carried across to your faction rather than being left behind, so a scan you already ran is not lost.
- Scanning asks the game to load item names properly instead of relying on a side effect of looking them up. On a realm where your client has not seen most items yet — a fresh realm such as WoW: Forever — that is what decides whether a scan can name and price what it swept.

## [2.10.11] - 2026-09-23

- Searching the auction house by filters alone (no item name) now returns results on a realm where your client has not yet loaded the item names — which is most of a fresh realm such as WoW: Forever. Listings whose names have not arrived are shown as "Loading..." and fill themselves in a moment later, instead of being left out entirely. Before this, a search like "uncommon weapons, level 11-16" with no name typed came back empty, while searching for an item by name still worked.
- Export Watchlist now tells you when your watchlist is empty and where to add items, instead of showing an empty box that looks broken.

## [2.10.10] - 2026-09-23

- WoW: Forever: the Disenchant tab now values gear off the vanilla disenchant table (which material each item level and class yields), instead of a Retail placeholder that priced everything as Strange Dust or a Large Brilliant Shard. Before this it could only ever say "Waiting on material prices for 1 item(s)" and never fill in. The bag-side Destroying yield panel uses the same table.
- All versions: when the Disenchant tab is waiting on prices, it now names the materials it is missing (for example "Soul Dust, Large Glimmering Shard") and says how to get them priced: search each one once, then Quick Scan, or run a Full Scan.
- All versions: the Disenchant tab has a new "Price missing mats" button. It checks the auction house for just the materials it is waiting on, so you get disenchant values without running a market scan first.
- Retail and WoW: Forever: in the Sell tab, the competition check now fills in your price (1 step under the cheapest listing) even on a realm ProfitProphet has never scanned. Before, the price stayed at 0 and Post Now asked you to enter one.
- Copper coins in prices. On an auction house that takes copper, post prices keep it instead of being rounded to a whole silver with a 1-silver minimum — on an early economy that turned a 47-copper item into a 1-silver one, and made every price under a silver the same number.
- The Sniper's Max buyout and Min profit boxes now always have a copper field. They are filters you compare against, never prices sent to the auction house, so a 1-silver smallest step made them far too blunt while everything still costs coppers.
- Retail and WoW: Forever: ProfitProphet now asks the game whether this auction house takes copper, instead of assuming whole silver. Retail is unchanged; on a copper-priced auction house the price boxes get a copper field and the undercut step is 1c.
- Classic: the Disenchant tab no longer counts a material with no scanned price as worth 0. That could hide an item, or show "No DE flips found" with no hint that a material just had not been scanned yet. It now reports the item as waiting, the same way Retail does.

## [2.10.9] - 2026-09-19

- Retail and WoW: Forever: "Undercut lowest" in the Sell tab no longer wipes your price when the cheapest listing is 1s. It went 1 copper under, which the auction house does not allow, so the price came out as nothing. It now goes 1 silver under, the smallest step the auction house takes, and at 1s it matches the cheapest listing instead. Clicking a listing to undercut it works the same way.
- Fixed an error that could repeat nonstop while an item's price chart was on screen (seen in WoW: Forever).
- Retail only: in the auction house Browse view, the status line no longer runs underneath the Buy qty and Max boxes. It now sits on its own line, so longer messages like "Search timed out" can be read in full.

## [2.10.8] - 2026-09-19

- Publishes the 2.10.7 changes below, which never reached CurseForge or Wago. Nothing else is different.
