Welcome to the first public release of Profession Training Guide (PTG)! Our mission is simple: Keep you in the game. No more second-monitor wiki scrolling. No more alt-tabbing to check material costs. PTG brings a fully interactive, context-aware leveling guide directly into your User Interface.

✨ Key Features

  • Universal Architecture: A single addon folder supports Retail, MoP Classic, and Classic Era. The addon automatically detects which game client you are running and loads the correct data tables.

  • The "Clipboard" UI: A new, immersive interface designed to look like a native part of the world (rustic wood & parchment).

    • Draggable & Scalable: Position it anywhere on your screen.

    • Auto-Sync: On load, PTG scans your current profession skill and automatically checks off steps you've already completed.

  • Shopping List Mode: Toggle between "Step-by-Step" instructions and a "Total Materials" view. Know exactly what to buy from the Auction House in one trip.

  • Retail Smarts (The War Within):

    • Acuity Safeguard: Warnings added to prevent wasting Artisan's Acuity on low-value tool crafting.

    • Work Order Integration: Specific prompts telling you when to switch to NPC/Patron Work Orders to save gold.

    • First Craft Tracker: Highlights recipes that grant Knowledge Points (KP).

🔧 Technical Notes

  • Implemented Tag-Agnostic Scraper data for high accuracy across different expansion guides.

  • Added /ptg reset to force a re-scan of profession skills.

  • Added /ptg config for UI opacity and scaling options.

🚧 Known Issues

  • Mining and Herbalism (Gathering) guides are currently in "Route Mode" beta and will be fully enabled in v1.1.

  • "Contextual Advice" is currently disabled for Classic Era (Vanilla) as it relies on retail API hooks.
