Profession Helper: AH Profits
Which of my recipes makes the most gold right now? Profession Helper: AH Profits ranks every recipe your character knows by real auction house profit — and treats materials you already own (bags, bank, warband bank) as free, so it answers the question the way a crafter actually thinks: most gold for the least gold spent.
Features
- Profit ranking — one sortable list across all your professions: Cost, Sale, Profit per recipe, priced live from your Auctionator data (minus the 5% AH cut).
- Materials you own are free — the Cost column only counts what you'd still have to buy, at its cheapest usable quality. A Crafts column shows how many items you could make from stock alone.
- Crafting ranks — quality-crafted recipes show one row per rank with the game's own quality icons. Armor and weapons show only their top rank (nobody buys low-rank gear).
- Concentration — see the Concentration cost to craft one rank above what your skill reaches, computed with the best reagents you own — matching the profession window's numbers. Your current Concentration pools are always visible.
- Only sellable, only relevant — bind-on-pickup items are excluded, recipes whose missing materials can't be bought (AH or vendor) are hidden, and the list focuses on current-expansion and housing items.
- Vendor-price learning — visit any merchant once and its goods are costed at vendor price forever (account-wide), so vendor-material recipes are priced honestly.
- Filters — minimum profit and maximum cost, saved per character.
- Click to craft — clicking a row opens that recipe in the profession window.
Usage
- Install Auctionator (required) and run an AH scan now and then for fresh prices.
- Open each of your profession windows once (including cooking and older expansion tabs) — recipes are scanned and cached per character.
- Open the list with /mmh or the coin minimap button (drag to reposition).
Slash commands
/mmh— toggle the window/mmh debug <recipe name>— print cached data for a recipe (for bug reports)
Good to know
- Rank, Concentration, and inventory numbers are snapshots from your last profession-window visit — reopen a profession to refresh them.
- Profit is per listing, not a sale guarantee: the addon does not model how fast items sell.
- Prices are only as good as your last Auctionator scan.
