Preferred Name

Preferred Name is a World of Warcraft Forever addon that gives you more control over how friendly player names appear in the game.

Choose whether to display a character's first or last name, customize nameplate appearance, and configure how names appear across different chat channels.

Configuration

Open Options → AddOns → Preferred Name to customize your settings.

Beta Status

Preferred Name is currently in public beta. Its main features are functional, but additional testing and refinements are ongoing.

Known issue: Players who are both AFK and in a guild may occasionally display overlapping nameplate text.

Feedback and bug reports are welcome, especially for unusual nameplate combinations.
