Disclaimer:

This addon is purely because the game can sometimes not be a pleasant social experience for some.  I do not have any interest in declaring who or why you should block someone, i just recognised a gap between tbc and forever that there wasnt a compatible addon for.

I will never block someone on your behalf, the entire purpose of the addon is to allow you to block who you want, without taking on the limitations of blizzards ignore system.  it's portable between accounts, allows you to still see the players in lfg when the blizzard ignore system would prevent that.  you can block a guilds invites but not messages if that's what you want.

Classic ignore list was always a must have for cleaner chat.  The filters and the ignore features were great.

Forever highlighted to me that chat filtering would be required.  But as i played more i realised there was quite a lot of negative social climate on the server.

Being able to block guilds but allowlist individual features like allow invite/allow message are new features.  you can also do this per-player inside a guild

When you add a guild like olympusmute, you still need to scan.

Opening guilds lets you see who is blocked on the addon  You can allow specific features per player.
