Pool Ping

A fishing pool alert helper for WoW Retail / Midnight.
Plays a sound and prints a chat message when you discover a pool you enabled — through hover, soft interact, Find Fish blips, or a nearby object scan.

What you get

• Sound + chat alerts — short message in chat (Detected: … / Обнаружено: …) plus a sound you pick in settings
• Multi-source detection — world cursor, minimap mouseover, tooltips, soft interact, new Find Fish blips, periodic scan for known pool object IDs
• Per-pool filters — enable only the Midnight pools you want to track
• Alert sounds — Argent squire horn (default), ready check, raid warning, low mana ding, fishing reel
• Raid warning overlay — optional on-screen message with the same text as chat
• Session deduplication — each physical pool alerts once per session (until /reload), so you are not spammed while fishing
• Locales — English and Russian

Settings and commands

• Options: Esc → Options → AddOns → Pool Ping
• /pp or /poolping — open settings
• /pp test — preview alert sound and raid warning
• /pp scan — show what the addon can see nearby
• /pp blips — list Find Fish–style minimap blips (debug)
• /pp reset — reset pool toggles to defaults

Notes

Retail-focused helper for Midnight fishing pools. Detection depends on what the client exposes in the moment — hover, blips, or scan. There is no guaranteed “fly over and ping everything” mode with current API limits.
