🐾 Pocket Pals

Do you want to bond with and take care of your non-combat pets in World of Warcraft? Then this addon is for you!

Your pet lives in a little window on your screen, fully animated in 3D. It wanders around, eats, sleeps, dances and reacts to what you do. Click it to give it a pat, or drag it to spin it around. Your pets are shared by all your characters, so they are always with you.

🥚 Hatch Your New Companion

When your egg hatches, you can choose your new companion from three randomly selected pets that you already own. Then watch the egg crack open and your new friend pop out! Not happy with the choices? You can shake the egg once a day for new ones. You unlock more eggs as your bond grows stronger, up to six pets. If you are a warlock or a hunter, you can also choose to bond with your combat pet.

❤️ Care for Your Pet

Take care of your pet, give it snacks, play with it, and bring it along on your adventures. Your pet will level up through different activities, both by interacting with it directly and through activities you do in WoW in general, like running dungeons, housing, questing, raiding, crafting, and more. Each pet family also has a favourite activity that gives double XP: Aquatic pets love fishing, Mechanical pets love crafting, and Undead pets love it when you die!

Just don’t let it go hungry for too long. A pet that misses too many meals gets a tummy ache, and a Tummy Tonic from the Pal Shop will set it right. Leave it too long and your pet faints into the Emerald Dream, where it sleeps surrounded by glowing green lights. It wakes up on its own after a few hours, hungry as ever, or right away with a cup of Dreamwaker Tea.

Don’t worry if you have to be away for a while. Nothing dies and nothing is lost: a neglected pet just gets a bit mopey, and the time away even gives it bonus XP.

🌱 Watch Your Pet Grow

Your pet grows from a baby into a child, a teen, an adult and finally an elder, and gets bigger along the way. As your bond grows stronger, it also learns new tricks, like Sit, Dance, Play dead and Take a bow.

🏆 Stats and Titles

Click your pet in My Pals, or the top of its little window, to see its stats page. It shows how many days you’ve been together and how much XP your pet has earned from each part of your adventures: questing, leveling, collecting, trade skills, dungeons, raids, housing, pet battles and the time you spend together. Once it has earned 100 XP, it gets a title from what it has done the most, like the Dungeon Master, the Collector or the Architect. Undead pets also keep count of how many times you have died.

When your pet reaches the top level, it can retire to the Sanctuary. It writes a line in its diary and makes room for a new egg. You’ll find all your retired pets in the Sanctuary in My Pals, and you can bring them back any time you have room.

😄 Full of Personality

Your pet notices what’s going on around you. It celebrates holidays like Hallow’s End, Winter Veil and the Darkmoon Faire, and has something to say when you check the mailbox, visit the barber, get a ready check, or your dungeon queue pops. It also complains when your bags are full. Try a /roar, /cry or /laugh and see how it answers. When you die and run back as a ghost, your pet turns into a little ghost too. And if you poke it too many times, it will see stars!

📖 Memories

Your pet keeps its own diary of your time together, from the day it hatched to the dungeons you ran, the holidays you celebrated and the gifts it found along the way. You’ll find it in the Memories tab, next to a sticker book with 26 milestones to collect.

🌄 A Little World of Its Own

Behind your pet is a little world that follows the time of day and the seasons, with fireflies at night, falling leaves in autumn and snow in winter. When you rest in an inn or a city, your pet moves into a cozy room by the fire, and in dungeons and raids you’ll see the real Adventure Guide art behind it. You can also pick your favourite background yourself.

🏠 A Place to Call Home

Your pet will have its own room that you can decorate with housing items you have already unlocked in the game. You arrange everything in an editor that works just like the one for your own house.

🤝 Make New Friends

If you group up with others who have Pocket Pals, your pet may join theirs. You can interact with their pets by giving them treats, waving, or playing games together. You can also ask to visit their homes, or challenge them to a pet battle for some extra coins. Everyone you meet shows up in the Pet Park, so you can easily find them again.

🎮 Play Minigames

There are a handful of minigames in the addon to help pass the time. Dig for raptor plushies in Dig, team up with up to four friends in the match-three game Shiny, play Pong, or guess which way your pet will look in Left or Right. How about a round of Draw, a drawing and guessing game, while you wait for your guildies to join the raid?

🛍️ The Pal Shop

There is also a little store in the addon where you can spend your Paw Coins on items for your pet, like snacks that give it a boost, toys it can chase around, medicine for when it’s feeling poorly, auras with sparkles, hearts, fireflies or snow, and extra space for decorating its room. You earn coins from almost everything you do, like questing, pet battles, minigames and taking care of your pet.

📅 Something New Every Day

Every day there is a gift waiting for you, with an extra treat if you keep your streak for seven days. Your pet also makes three little wishes each day for you to grant. Keep an eye on its thought bubbles to see what it needs or dreams about, and tidy up the dust bunnies that turn up now and then.
