Pilou Addon

A lightweight quality-of-life addon for World of Warcraft Retail that removes repetitive clicks around the chat and the Group Finder.

Note: the in-game interface is currently French only. The options are simple checkboxes, but English speakers should be aware of this before installing.

Chat module

• Default channel per chat window: choose a channel command for each chat tab (/s, /p, /g, /o, /i, /w Name, /1, /2…). It is applied automatically every time you open the chat input.
• Safe fallback: if the channel is unavailable (not in a group, not in a guild…), the chat falls back to Say instead of getting stuck on a channel that cannot send.
• Override remembered channel (optional): apply your default channel every time, instead of the last channel WoW remembers.
• Slash key (optional): choose whether opening the chat with the / key also applies the default channel.
• Each rule can be paused without being deleted.

Group module

• Auto-accept role checks started by your group leader, using your current role. Also accepts queue proposals ("your group is ready"). Disabled by default.
• Join announcement: when you join a group through the Group Finder or a queue, the activity name is printed in your chat. For Mythic+ groups, the keystone level is added when it appears in the group title.
• Auto-close the "You have joined a group" acknowledgement window. Real invitations are never closed on your behalf.
• Auto-accept invitations from friends and guild members (character friends, Battle.net friends, guild roster). Invitations from strangers are never accepted.
• Single-option dialogues in instances: in dungeons, raids and scenarios, automatically selects a gossip dialogue that has only one option. Never applied in the open world or to quest dialogues.
• Accept key: pick any key (e.g. Space). It accepts a group invitation only while an invitation window is displayed, and keeps its normal action the rest of the time.

Commands

• /pao or /pilou: open the options window
• /pao chat / /pao groupe: open a specific tab
• /paa on|off: toggle role-check auto-accept
• /paod on|off: enable or disable the chat module
• /pao status: show current settings
• /pao debug / /pao debug groupe: diagnostic messages for bug reports

Notes

• Settings are saved per character.
• The accept key cannot be rebound during combat; it is applied as soon as combat ends.
• No external libraries.
