Pigeonhole lets you tell WoW: Forever what an item *is* for sorting, and it remembers.
The game already lets you assign each bag a filter (Equipment, Consumables, Trade Goods, Quest Items, Reagents, Junk) and sorts items into those bags by Blizzard's item class. Pigeonhole adds a per-item override on top of that, so the built-in Sort button finally puts things where **you** want them.
**How it works**
1. Hold **Alt** and **right-click** any item in your bags.
2. Pick a category, just like categorizing a transaction in a budgeting app.
3. Press the game's normal Sort button. Pigeonhole moves your classified items into the bag you assigned to that category.
Your choices are saved account-wide and shown as a small letter on the slot and a line in the tooltip.
**It does not replace your bags.** No new bag frame, no reskin. Works with the default UI and the default Sort button, in split or combined bag view.
**Commands**
- `/ph` help
- `/ph sort` run the game sort, then apply your classifications
- `/ph apply` apply classifications only
- `/ph list` show saved classifications
- `/ph set [item link] trade` classify from chat
- `/ph clear [item link]` forget one item (or all, with no link)
- `/ph auto` / `/ph tags` / `/ph hint` toggles
- `/ph modifier alt|ctrl|shift` change the modifier key
**Notes**
- Bags marked "Ignore this bag" are never touched.
- If no bag is assigned to a category, items classified that way are simply kept out of other categories' bags.
