Pete's Circle of Healing Frame

A compact TBC Priest healing panel that highlights smart Circle of Healing targets and lets you click-cast CoH or Flash Heal on fixed raid-unit frames.

Pete’s Circle of Healing Frame

Pete’s Circle of Healing Frame is a TBC Anniversary Priest healing frame designed to make Circle of Healing targeting faster, clearer, and easier to act on during raid combat.

The addon creates a compact, movable, resizable raid-frame panel with clickable health bars. It evaluates raid groups for strong Circle of Healing opportunities, highlights recommended targets directly on the frames, and gives you secure click-cast access to your core Priest healing toolkit.

Instead of reading a separate recommendation list and then searching your raid frames, the recommendation appears directly on the clickable unit frame itself.

Core Features

  • Compact clickable Priest raid frames

  • Traditional vertical group-column layout by default

  • Optional horizontal row layout fallback

  • Movable, resizable, lockable panel

  • Header lock button for quick move/lock control

  • Header info tooltip with click bindings and marker legend

  • Circle of Healing recommendation glow

  • #1/#2/#3 recommendation highlighting

  • Range-aware unit display

  • Health/triage-colored health bars

  • Optional class-colored unit names

  • Near-transparent panel background by default

  • Incoming-heal overlay, display-only

  • Dead, ghost, and offline indicators

  • Tank/healer role icons from raid role assignments

  • Aggro/threat reticle indicator

  • Ready check and incoming resurrection indicators where supported

  • Lightweight performance diagnostics with /coh perf

Default Click Bindings

  • Left-click: Circle of Healing

  • Right-click: Flash Heal

  • Middle-click: Prayer of Mending

  • Shift + Right-click: Greater Heal

  • Shift + Left-click: Renew

  • Ctrl + Left-click: Power Word: Shield

  • Ctrl + Right-click: Dispel Magic

  • Alt + Right-click: Abolish Disease

All spell actions are player-clicked. The addon does not auto-cast or auto-target.

Priest Indicators

The frame shows compact visual indicators for important Priest healing decisions:

  • Renew indicator

  • Prayer of Mending indicator with stack count where available

  • Power Word: Shield indicator

  • Weakened Soul indicator

  • Aggro/threat reticle

  • Range marker and out-of-range dimming

  • Role icons where raid role data is available

  • Dead, ghost, offline, ready check, and resurrection states where supported

Magic/Disease debuff indicators are intentionally not shown. Dispel Magic and Abolish Disease remain available as click-cast bindings, but debuff tracking is better handled by dedicated dispel addons such as Decursive.

Circle of Healing Targeting

The addon evaluates party-level healing opportunities and highlights recommended Circle of Healing targets based on injured party members, missing health, spell range, and available grouping information.

The recommendation appears directly on the unit frame so you can respond immediately with a click.

Layout and Display

Pete’s Circle of Healing Frame supports:

  • Vertical group columns by default

  • Optional horizontal group rows

  • Dense, compact, normal, and large size presets

  • Manual scaling

  • Movable and resizable frame while unlocked

  • Near-transparent background by default, adjustable with /coh bgalpha

  • Optional class-colored unit names

  • Test mode for previewing layout, indicators, and recommendations outside raid combat

  • Configurable recommendation glow: static, animated, or off

Runtime Behavior

The addon is designed for Holy Priests, but it is runtime-gated to Priest characters for better TBC Anniversary compatibility.

  • Priest characters load the addon normally.

  • Non-Priest characters are disabled by default.

  • Testing override is available with /coh enableoverride on.

Important Safety Note

This addon does not auto-cast, auto-target, dynamically retarget, or automate gameplay.

All healing actions require a hardware click from the player. Click-casting is built around fixed secure unit buttons and fixed unit tokens such as player, party1-party4, and raid1-raid40, while respecting WoW’s protected action rules.

Known Notes

  • TBC API behavior can vary, especially around aura ownership and aura return values.

  • Renew and Prayer of Mending use compatibility handling so they can still display when the client does not expose aura ownership reliably.

  • Blizzard raid frames are not hidden automatically.

  • Test the addon in your normal raid setup before relying on it as your only raid frame.

  • If performance feels heavy in large raids, try /coh glow off, /coh buffs off, /coh range off, or /coh aggro off to identify the source.

Designed for TBC Priests who want faster, cleaner, and more informed Circle of Healing target selection without relying on automation.
