PartyCaller

Recruit faster in WoW Forever: one-click LFM/LFG messages, Group Finder search by language and role, and whisper applicants.

PartyCaller

PartyCaller is a one-click group recruitment assistant and Group Finder browser designed for World of Warcraft: Forever.

Instead of manually typing the same recruitment message repeatedly, select an activity, your role, the roles you need, and the destination channels. PartyCaller automatically generates an up-to-date LFM or LFG message. Its Group Finder tab searches the game's premade listings by category, activity and listing language, with role, class and level filters.

The interface is built with Blizzard-style frames, role icons, buttons, checkboxes, dropdowns, dungeon panels, and quest-log elements. No external libraries or texture packs are required.

Available in 8 languages: English, Русский, Deutsch, Français, Español, Português, 简体中文, 繁體中文.

Features

LFM and LFG modes

Choose between:

  • LFM — recruit players for your group
  • LFG — advertise yourself as looking for a group

Blizzard-style role selection

Select your role using familiar role icons:

  • Tank
  • Healer
  • DPS

The party composition and required roles are updated from the current group roster, and can be corrected manually with the − / + buttons.

Dungeon browser

PartyCaller reads available dungeon activities from the game's Group Finder API.

  • Activities are filtered by the character's level
  • Recommended level ranges are displayed
  • An optional setting includes out-of-level dungeons
  • A built-in activity database is used only when the Group Finder API is unavailable

Multi-quest selection

The Quest Log tab supports selecting several quests at once.

Example:

LFG 2 quests: WANTED: Chok'sul + Mercenaries

Quest categories include:

  • Elite and Group quests
  • Dungeon quests
  • Normal quests

Elite and group quests are displayed first. The Nearby group quests button can automatically select suitable group quests from the current zone.

Automatic message generation

Example recruitment messages:

  • LFM Deadmines - need Tank + Healer - 3/5
  • LFG Wailing Caverns - Healer
  • LFG Loch Modan quest run - 3 quests

PartyCaller updates the preview when the activity, role, group composition, or options change. The message can also be edited by hand; Auto returns to automatic updates.

Chat destinations

Messages can be sent to:

  • General
  • Trade
  • Say
  • Yell
  • Guild

PartyCaller resolves the channels the character has actually joined, including common Russian channel names.

Public announcements require a player click because WoW restricts fully automated public chat messages. Inside dungeons and raids, where the game restricts chat, PartyCaller explains why nothing is sent.

Announcement cooldown

The interface shows whether the next announcement is ready. The cooldown is adjustable in the settings.

Hold Shift while clicking Announce to override the recommended cooldown when necessary.

Whisper applicants

PartyCaller recognizes common application messages, including:

  • inv
  • heal inv
  • tank here
  • 42 priest
  • +, ++, ++++
  • Russian invite and role phrases (инв, го, хил 60, возьмите)

Words are matched whole, so ordinary conversation is not mistaken for an application.

Matching whispers appear in a separate Applicants window with:

  • Player name
  • Class
  • Level
  • Detected or suggested role
  • Original message
  • Invite button
  • Dismiss button

PartyCaller never automatically invites players.

Class-role detection is deliberately conservative. Pure damage classes such as Warlock, Mage, Hunter, and Rogue are classified as DPS. Hybrid classes remain ambiguous unless the player specifies a role.

Group Finder tab (new)

Open it with the spyglass side tab, /pcaller lfg, or the PartyCaller tab added to Blizzard's Group Finder.

  • Search by category, activities and languages. Tick one or more activities (none ticked searches them all) and choose the listing languages: all languages, the game's default, or only the ones you tick.
  • Groups and Players are listed separately; click a header to collapse it. Your own listing is shown first.
  • Guild members (and, optionally, friends) are marked and listed first.
  • Instant filters, kept between sessions:
    • Groups: needs a tank / healer / damage, has a tank / healer, or has an open spot for your role
    • Players: roles offered, or Auto — only the roles your party is still missing
    • Player level range and classes
    • My filters: save up to 20 named filter sets
  • Invite players and Ask to join groups with one click, with optional automatic whispers. Messages support placeholders such as %class%, %level%, %role%, %talents% and %dungeon%.
  • Role Check for group leaders and assistants.
  • Whispers view: every whisper received this session, with Reply, Invite, Who and Remove.
  • The status line shows which languages the current results were searched with.

A listing's language is the language its author's listing carries (normally their game client's language), not the language they type in.

Settings

All options live in Blizzard's settings window: Options → AddOns → PartyCaller (also the gear on the Group Finder tab or a right-click on the minimap button).

  • Addon language (or follow the game client)
  • Text size (100–125%)
  • Announcement cooldown
  • Minimap button
  • Automatic whispers and their messages (saved per character)
  • Level-range and guild / friend options for the Group Finder
  • Whisper log size

Language and text size apply instantly.

Minimap button

  • Left-click: open or close PartyCaller
  • Right-click: open settings
  • Drag: move the button around the minimap

The minimap position is saved between sessions.

Slash commands

  • /pcaller — open or close PartyCaller
  • /pcaller announce — announce using the current configuration
  • /pcaller lfg — open the Group Finder tab
  • /pcaller whispers — open the whisper log
  • /pcaller settings — open settings
  • /pcaller lang <code> — addon language: auto, en, ru, de, fr, es, pt, zh, zhtw

Legacy /fga commands are also supported.

Installation

  1. Close World of Warcraft.
  2. Extract the archive.
  3. Copy the PartyCaller folder to: World of Warcraft/_forever_/Interface/AddOns/
  4. Make sure the resulting path is: Interface/AddOns/PartyCaller/PartyCaller.toc
  5. Start the game and enable PartyCaller in the AddOns menu.
  6. Enter /pcaller to open the addon.

If upgrading from ForeverGroupAnnouncer, remove the old ForeverGroupAnnouncer addon folder first. Existing compatible SavedVariables are preserved where possible.

Known limitations

  • PartyCaller targets WoW Forever's modern addon API and Interface 16001.
  • Public chat is protected by the game and therefore requires a physical player click.
  • The game may throttle or reject multiple public-channel messages sent simultaneously.
  • Only channels the character has joined can receive messages.
  • Available dungeon activities depend on data exposed by the current Forever client.
  • Inside dungeons and raids the game hides most listing and chat details from addons; PartyCaller then shows what it may and offers no action the game would refuse.
  • Blizzard's Group Finder can start searches of its own, which replace the result list; the status line says when that happened.
  • Whisper parsing provides suggestions and may not always identify hybrid-class roles without an explicit role in the message.
  • Friend marks are experimental: the friend list is disabled in the Forever beta.
