What's new

PadNav changelog

4.6.2

  • The welcome window is wider, and its buttons no longer overlap.

4.6.1

  • Fixed L2 / R2 action bar pages being blocked on some buttons by the game's own button combos (for example L2 + Square and L2 + Triangle on retail).
  • New /pn pagefix command: shows which combos PadNav redirected to your page. /pn pagefix off turns this off. Your saved bindings are never changed.

4.6.0

  • Quick Guide. A new simple page under PadNav in the AddOns options: a small controller map of what each button does right now, plus short how-to lines. Open it from the welcome window or with /pn quick.
  • Full code clean-up and double-check across the whole addon.

4.5.x – Retail support

  • One addon for both games. PadNav now works on retail World of Warcraft (12.1.x) as well as WoW Forever.
  • Area spells. Spells like Blizzard and totems, and items like a campfire, now go down at the crosshair. Press again to place, or back out with Circle. /pn aoe shows the current setting.
  • Trading Post. It can now be navigated: L1 / R1 switch forms, and the right stick turns your character.
  • Talent choice nodes get their own simple pick window with a solid background.
  • Drop-downs in the Dungeon Finder and PvP windows open and select properly.
  • World map. Bigger zone and world map dots, and missing zones added (Badlands, Searing Gorge, Redridge Mountains, Blasted Lands, Un'Goro Crater, Moonglade).
  • Cooldown sweeps on the controller bar keep updating instead of stopping after the first one.
  • Cross buys the selected item at vendors.
  • Popup buttons respond correctly to right-click actions.
  • A note now explains the game's protected gold confirmation window, which needs the mouse.
  • The instant trade and countdown popup were removed. Normal navigation of the trade window is used instead.
  • Stability. PadNav no longer touches Blizzard's own UI code. This removes the Lua errors some players saw after leveling up or when switching between keyboard and controller. /pn taint checks for problems.
