What's new
OutOfHealz v2.0.1 — Healer Range Fix
This update fixes false out-of-range warnings caused by changes to range information available during combat in World of Warcraft: Midnight.
Fixed
- Fixed repeated
OUT OF HEAL RANGEwarnings when a healer was actually nearby - Fixed unnecessary range warning sounds and escalation caused by ambiguous combat range data
- Improved healer-range detection to distinguish between:
- Healer confirmed in range
- Healer confirmed out of range
- Healer range currently unknown
- Ambiguous range information will no longer trigger an out-of-range warning
Updated
- Updated the embedded LibRangeCheck-3.0 library for current Midnight range behavior
- Added clearer chat state reporting for healer-range detection
Range Detection Behavior
OutOfHealz now distinguishes between three healer-range states:
- HEALER IN RANGE — OOH can confirm at least one healer is within healing range.
- OUT OF HEAL RANGE — OOH can confirm all detected healers are beyond healing range. Normal visual and sound warnings are triggered.
- HEALER RANGE UNKNOWN — Combat restrictions prevent OOH from reliably determining whether a healer is within range. No out-of-range warning or sound is triggered.
Because World of Warcraft may provide less precise range information during combat, the absence of an out-of-range warning means OOH has not confirmed that you are out of range. It does not necessarily guarantee that a healer is within range.
Testing
Validated in live dungeon and raid combat.
Confirmed behavior:
- Nearby healers with precise range information are correctly recognized as in range
- Ambiguous combat range results no longer trigger false warnings or sounds
- Healers confirmed beyond healing range still trigger the normal
OUT OF HEAL RANGEwarning and sound escalation
