What's new

Changelog

Unreleased

  • Orbit: Status is now Orbit: Events. Your settings carry over unchanged. /orbitevents opens settings, and /orbitstatus still works.

  • Keep the normal hover tooltip and add an Alt-click shortcut to pin details beside the orb. The pinned panel follows the Mythic+ widget's spacing with aligned, nonwrapping columns and Detail Font settings. Its border and backdrop follow installed Orbit settings on both clients, including gradients. Drag it to move, use the compact corner-aligned resize handle, or right-click to reattach it; position and scale are saved. Bundle Orbit UI Chat in the standalone font picker.

  • Expand the experience tooltip with XP remaining, rested XP, session gains and time, XP per hour, and estimated time to level. Forever also shows average kill XP and estimated kills remaining from recent kill rewards. Missing data shows -; time-to-level and kill estimates show ~ before the value, with no estimate text in the label.

  • Drive the specialization animation from the orb's reveal, visibility and impact edges instead of a 10 Hz check, so it tracks impact shakes exactly and starts and stops on the frame of the change. Zone and Random artwork events no longer re-read settings.

  • Talking Head release restores Blizzard's native panel opacity (or the latest outside change made while Events owned it) instead of a faded value captured when Events took over.

  • Keep confirmation actions visible after settings controls are reused.

  • Hide Blizzard's Talking Head Edit Mode selection and animated 3D model while Events owns the dialogue.

  • Bundle private Orbit UI and Orbit UI Black faces for standalone operation; default widget numerals to Black and detail text to UI. Korean and Chinese clients use Blizzard's locale-aware font instead of bundled locale-specific builds. Keep both names above a divider in the standalone font picker, with SharedMedia fonts below.

  • Fade and fully clear SilverDragon and Talking Head 3D portraits when their Events notifications close or hand off.

  • Update the release packager so CurseForge correctly lists Forever 1.60.1 alongside supported Retail versions.

  • Show held, earned-but-spent and remaining-to-cap segments within each existing currency bar on Retail and Forever. Add a separate cyan-default earned color and earned/max tooltip values for currencies with an earning cap.

  • Let WoW addon enablement exclusively own Events availability. Remove the standalone and hosted toggle wiring, strip retired Enabled and ShowCenterNumber fields before standalone validation, and omit the redundant Events entry from Blizzard's AddOns options while Orbit is hosting it.

  • Temporarily disable Character panel shortcuts from Events on Forever (XP, reputation, currency and fallback clicks) following native health-text taint errors. Retail clicks remain unchanged.

  • Make behaviour checkboxes cancel their own active, queued and delayed notifications, restore native presentation when unchecked, and adopt supported current notices when enabled. Preserve native notification lifetimes, recover live loot/bonus rolls, update active rare-marker choices, replace Level/Honor announcements and retain Renown reward details. Keep boss banners and respect native toast opt-outs; unchecked behaviours remain native during Mythic+.

  • Stop altering Blizzard's Scenario tracker module list when replacing Mythic+ progress, avoiding persistent taint in boss-pull timer/aura updates. Preserve native layout space and restore the original opacity immediately when replacement ends.

  • Always show center numerals on both clients and remove the Show Center Number option. Level, Honor and Renown retain the old number through attention, then settle the animated new number without a fade-out/fade-in gap. Renown keeps its growing wreath, Level/Honor their impact motion; queued and multi-level gains retain their own values.

  • Add Forever-only manual class artwork (three styles, four for Druid, plus Default), matching animations and retained Retail artwork settings. Keep Zones and Random on Retail. Disable Vault, Mythic+ and housing activation/settings on Forever while preserving learned-spell notifications. Requires LibOrbitUI API 1.6 or newer; client verification and library delivery are pending.

  • Preserve SilverDragon popup setup and timed closing while leasing its presentation, preventing premature recycling and the invalid question-mark model fallback. Treasure alerts show a chest; rare creatures retain a marker until a valid portrait loads, including blacklisted or failed models.

  • Resolve Mythic+ metadata through the active Challenge map ID at startup and reload; never pass the start event's map ID to the dungeon timer lookup. Add a ten-second start countdown corrected by Blizzard's event, with an independent clock/driver refresh on expiry.

  • Keep Blizzard's replaced Mythic+ section visually hidden during combat/aura restrictions without entering its layout or slide-cleanup scripts.

  • Publish configured Mythic+ ownership to Progress before a key starts, so its duplicate is excluded at the data source independently of native tracker dismissal.

  • Drive the Mythic+ countdown/chests from one Blizzard clock sample, retain start-event IDs and use guarded direct slot-1 sampling during an active key if discovery/type data is late. Recover missed restarts from native changes and use reported upgrades for final chests. Add /orbitmplusstatus development diagnostics for clock source, missing data and chest decisions.

  • Show the actual Mythic+ upgrade in the completion celebration, freeze the reported final time/result, and restore completed runs after reload without replaying the celebration.

  • Recover Mythic+ startup from late settings/run data and interrupted callbacks, replace stale run state on each new key, and keep retrying missing enemy forces after the initial startup window.

  • Show numeric Renown/friendship levels or current reputation progress in the center, abbreviating values from 10,000 as whole thousands (10K).

  • Replace borrowed Social and Quick Join icons with blue people silhouettes and soft cyan rims matching the supplied WoW reference. Use smaller resting art with a quick forward punch, slight recoil and settle; Quick Join keeps its join mark and click action, and both retain subtle flourishes.

  • Upgrade the repair center icon with a weighted landing, rebound and warm finishing gleam synchronized with the rebuilding ring.

  • Extend atlas flourishes to durability warnings, repair, Vault unlocks/upgrades, timed/depleted Mythic+ completion, rare sightings, loot/rewards, mail and social notifications. Use reported Mythic+ upgrade tiers; mail and social play only a subtle flourish without an attention phase.

  • Add a gathering attention pulse followed by distinct animated atlas flourishes for level-up, renown and honor: ascending sparks, a recognition wreath and winged rank marks, with a clear center for the new number.

  • Add an optional second progression ring for both rest and Shift states, with separate source submenus, inline currencies, primary-source selection and matching center values. Keep labels at full width, primary ticks at the right edge and menus free of scrollbars.

  • Add Artwork → Random, choosing from every default, specialization and zone frame after each loading screen, with matching animation and no immediate repeats.

  • Add Artwork → Zones with 13 expansion/continent frames and matching animated effects, selecting the current dungeon era or outdoor zone in standalone and Orbit-hosted settings.

  • Organize Core into focused modules with XML load bundles and module READMEs, preserving Lua contents, feature registration order and debug-only package exclusions.
