Orbit-Quiz

`/oq` in game to get started.

Currently in Alpha testing.

Orbit-Quiz is a multiplayer quiz framework for WoW. You can host a game, join someone else’s, or build your own quiz packs and share them.

The addon handles the questions, timers, answers and scoring. Quiz creators supply the content.

Playing a quiz

• Questions run automatically in a random order. Once they’ve all been asked, they shuffle and start again.
• You get 15 seconds to answer, followed by 3 seconds showing the result.
• Click an answer to select it. You can change your answer until time runs out.
• Correct answers earn points, with a bonus for answering quickly.
• Wrong answers lose points. Faster wrong answers lose more, to discourage random guessing.
• Your scores are saved across sessions, separately for each quiz pack.

The question widget is simple text, with adjustable scale and font. You can move it around while /oq is open.

Everyone playing needs the addon installed. No typing answers into chat.

Included quiz

Orbit-Quiz comes with one default quiz: Warcraft Lore.

It contains over 1,000 questions covering Warcraft I, II, III and the WoW expansions, including characters, zones, quests, raids and history. Difficulty ranges from easy questions to proper deep cuts.

Making your own quizzes

Warcraft Lore is just the included pack. You can build and share your own file-based quiz packs that plug into the same system, using the existing interface, hosting and scoring.
