Made for World of Warcraft: Forever.
OnlyRares alerts you when a rare mob is nearby, gives you a one-click button to target it, and pins every rare you've seen on your world map and minimap.
Features
- Rare alerts. When a rare shows up on a nameplate, as your target or mouseover, or as a map marker, you get a sound, a raid-warning line, a chat line and a small alert window. Each spawn alerts you once.
- One-click target. The alert window's Target button targets the rare. Drops shows what it has dropped for you. Broadcast posts its location to party chat with a clickable map pin (only while you're in a party). Drag the window to move it, right-click to dismiss it. It closes itself after 90 seconds.
- Combat safe. In combat the sound and raid-warning line still play right away. The window appears as soon as combat ends.
- Rare tracker. Every rare you see is saved with where and when you saw it. Pins show "last seen", how often it was seen at that spot, "last killed" and the fastest respawn you've observed. Gold stars are rare elites, silver stars are rares.
- World map pins. Left-click a pin to set a waypoint, right-click to see the rare's drops, Shift+right-click to forget that spot.
- Minimap pins. Nearby rares show on your minimap with the same tooltip plus the distance. The 2 nearest rares out of range sit on the minimap's edge with their distance in yards. Rotating and square minimaps work too.
- Drops learned from your loot. Every time you loot a rare, its items are recorded with how often they dropped (for example "3/5 60%"). Nothing is pre-loaded, so it stays accurate as Forever adds new rare drops. Shift-click an item to link it in chat, Ctrl-click to preview it.
- Party sync. Party members who also run OnlyRares share sightings and kills automatically. Everyone gets the map pin and the kill time, plus an alert ("spotted by ...") when they're in the same zone.
- Ignore list. Stop alerts and pins for a rare you don't care about.
- Minimap button. Left-click shows or hides all pins, right-click shows or hides only the minimap pins. Drag it around the minimap's edge.

Good to know
- What leaves your game: with party sync on (the default) and while you're in a party, each rare you spot or kill is sent to your party over the hidden addon channel: its name, level, type, NPC ID, spawn ID and map position. Nothing goes outside your party. The Broadcast button posts a normal party chat message that everyone in the party sees. Turn sync off with
/or sync. - Your rares, drops and settings are saved per account, so all your characters share them.
- Only rares you (or your party) have seen get pins. Nothing is pre-loaded.
- Turn on enemy nameplates (V) so rares are spotted from further away.
- This is an alpha. Expect rough edges, and please tell us when something looks wrong.
