OnlineCheck lets you paste a list of character names and check who is likely online without adding everyone to your friends list.
How to use
Type /onlinecheck to open the window. Paste names one per line, then click Check. Checks run about once per second, and you can cancel at any time. Your list is saved between reloads.
Results are grouped into:
- Likely online: No offline response arrived before the check finished.
- Unavailable: The server reported that the character could not be reached.
- Unknown: The check failed, was throttled, or was cancelled.
Click a result to prepare a whisper to that character. You type and send the message yourself.
Compatibility
Developed and tested on TBC Anniversary 2.5.6, English client. Other versions and languages are untested.
“Likely online” is an indication, not a guarantee. Unavailable results cannot distinguish offline characters from renamed, transferred, or deleted characters.
