OneCast – One-Button Fishing for WoW Forever

One key to cast, the same key to reel. OneCast turns fishing into a single button, then tells you how it's going: what you've caught, how fast, what it's worth, and whether this zone is right for your skill. And now it keeps a collection book of every fish in WoW Forever, so you know what's left to catch and where to find it.

Every cast and every reel is still your own key press. OneCast never fishes for you.

Getting started

1. Install, then bind a key under Options → Keybindings → AddOns → OneCast (or in OneCast's own options).
2. Stand by the water and press it. With no pole equipped, the first press puts one on for you.
3. Press it again when the bobber splashes to reel in.

Prefer the mouse? Double right-click the water with a pole equipped to cast, and right-click the bobber to reel.

Features

🎣 One-button fishing

• One key casts, then the same key reels in your bobber using the game's soft-interact.
• Optional double right-click to cast.
• Your keys go straight back to normal when the line comes in or combat starts.

📖 The fishing collection (new in 0.2.0)

• A book of every fish in WoW Forever: 61 catches across fish, special catches, trophy fish and bloated fish.
• See which you've caught, on which characters, and how many. The rest wait greyed out, with your progress at the top.
• Click any fish for its own page: the game's description, your catches on every character, when and where you first caught it, every zone it's caught in with a map, and the recipes it's used in, including WoW Forever's new ones.
• Shared across all your characters, including everything caught before you installed it.
• Catch a fish none of your characters has and chat tells you it's new for your collection.

🗡️ Pole on, weapons back

• With no pole equipped, the cast key equips the best one in your bags.
• Your main- and off-hand weapons are remembered and put back after a break (you choose how long), when combat starts, or with one click.

📊 Session stats

• A stats window that opens as you cast: catches out of casts, catch rate, fishing time and fish per hour.
• Tabs for the session, the zone you're in (all time), your lifetime totals, and a log of recent catches.
• Every fish you've caught, with icon, quality colour and count.
• Click any item for its WoW Forever Wowhead page, ready to copy. Shift-click to link it in chat.

🗺️ Is this zone right for you?

• An animated skill bar shows your Fishing skill, lure bonus included.
• See at a glance whether you meet the zone's fishing level, so no fish get away.
• Zones without known levels are judged from your own catches and getaways.

💰 What your catch is worth

• Vendor value of everything caught, per tab.
• Auction value with Auctionator or TradeSkillMaster. Open the auction house and scan your whole catch with Auctionator in one click.

✨ Rare catch alerts

• A raid-warning flash and sound for anything green or better (you choose the quality).
• Right-click any fish to mark it as wanted and get alerted when it bites.

🔊 Hear the splash

• Sound effects turn up while your line is out. Music and ambience are left alone.

⚙️ Fits right in

• Built from WoW Forever's own UI style.
• Minimap button, addon compartment entry and a full options page.
• Drag and scale the stats window, and close it whenever you like.
• A What's new page shows every update.

• Stats window: opens when you cast, or right-click the minimap button.
• Fishing collection: the book button in the stats window, Shift-click the minimap button, or /onecast book.
• Options: left-click the minimap button, or /onecast.

Commands

Good to know

• Made for WoW Forever. Classic Era and Retail aren't supported.
• The collection's fish, zones and recipes come from WoW Forever's own data. Riverglades has no published fishing data yet, so its fish come from player reports.
• Zone fishing levels come from Classic data plus player reports. Forever may differ, so the Zone tab counts real getaways to keep you honest.
• Auction values need Auctionator or TradeSkillMaster installed.
