What's new

Highlights

  • House Editor, fully on the controller. Catalog on the D-pad, pick up / move/rotate / place with the pad, a hint bar showing your controller's own buttons, and FFXIV-style stick placement in Expert mode.
  • New interact marker and prompt. A gold ring over the NPC or object you can use, and a matching "Interact: name" bar, both shown only when you're close enough to use the target.
  • Game Menu as a controller menu. Wheel ▸ Game Menu opens a menu panel where Exit Game, Log Out, and every other Game Menu option work with A or the mouse.
  • Action bars show controller buttons. Any bar showing a crossbar slot (Blizzard, ElvUI, vehicle bar) reads LT + D-pad and so on instead of keyboard keys.
  • View opens the world map again, and the map's X / B controls work properly.

House Editor

  • Controls now work in the editor at all. The editor is a full-screen panel that hides the normal UI and holds on to key input. Omnipad now moves its legend and menus onto the editor and lets controller buttons reach their bindings.
  • Blizzard's housing commands are called directly. Blizzard's housing keybinds only run inside the editor's own binding context, so they never fired from the pad. Every pad key now calls the same housing functions directly.
  • Basic decor (switches layouts by itself):
    • Empty hands: right stick aims, A picks up the decor under the cursor, Y opens the catalog.
    • Catalog: D-pad moves over categories, tabs, and items (lists scroll at the edge), A takes the item, B closes the panel. Works whenever the panel is open, even if you opened it with the mouse.
    • Holding decor: right stick moves it, D-pad Left/Right rotate and keep turning while held, Up snap, Down nudge, X remove, Y grid, A place, B cancel.
  • Expert decor (View toggles Basic / Expert):
    • D-pad Up opens the Placed Decor list. D-pad chooses an item and A selects it.
    • With an item selected: left stick moves it, right stick rotates and raises/lowers it, LB / RB scale it, D-pad nudges, Y rotates the axis, A places, B cancels.
  • Layout mode: D-pad camera; LT + D-pad zooms or turns the room; RT + D-pad changes floor.
  • LB / RB switch editor mode, with their icons beside Blizzard's mode bar.
  • Bottom hint bar: one gold-framed line above the mode bar shows the current state's buttons in your controller's own icons (Xbox letters, PlayStation shapes, or generic numbers). Blizzard's keyboard/mouse instruction list is hidden while you edit with the pad.
  • A is the click for picking up and placing while editing. Your own cursor-click setting comes back when you leave.
  • The crossbar's bindings stay off in the editor and return when you leave. Loading screens and re-syncs no longer bring them back mid-edit.

Interact marker and prompt

  • Marker: a gold ring with corner brackets around your controller's interact button, with a pointer down to the target's name.
    • NPCs: sit on the NPC's nameplate and follow them on screen.
    • Objects (boards, chests, portals, herbs): these have no nameplate, so the same marker shows in a fixed spot above your character.
  • Prompt above the crossbar: a dark bar with a gold border, the button icon, "Interact:", and the target's name in gold.
  • Only shown in range: both disappear when you're too far to use the target. Omnipad reads the game's own "Unable…" cursor to tell. /op range Shows what it sees; /op range off Turns the check off.
  • No more bobbing animation.

Game Menu

  • Wheel ▸ Game Menu opens Omnipad's game menu: Options, Shop, What's New, AddOns, Edit Mode, Support, Macros, ElvUI (when loaded), Omnipad, Reload UI, Log Out, Exit Game, Return to Game.
  • Controls: D-pad moves, A selects, B closes. The mouse works on every row too. Also available as /op gamemenu.
  • Exit Game and Log Out work again. Opening Blizzard's Game Menu from addon code got its Exit button blocked, and Omnipad's A pressed menu buttons from addon code. Commands now run through secure buttons (/quit, /camp, /reload, /editmode, /macro, Shop, /ec), the same as typing them.
  • The "Exit Now" countdown popup can be used with the controller again.
  • Blizzard's own Game Menu also gets a secure A-press, so its Exit / Log Out works with the pad.
  • Opens out of combat only, and closes itself when combat starts. Esc still opens Blizzard's menu.

Menu wheel

  • The Utilities page (D-pad Right) has no duplicate wedges. It no longer repeats main-ring entries and shows only what your client has.
  • Back returns to the main ring instead of closing the wheel.
  • New entries: Group Finder, Adventure Guide (Macros on Classic).
