Description
ODYN — Observe. Document. Your Narrative.
World of Warcraft gives us plenty of progression systems for end-game content, but very little of that feeling exists for Roleplay.
ODYN is a large-scale Roleplay companion addon built to fill that space.
It records and presents the life of your character: the people they meet, the time you spend roleplaying with them, their injuries, skills, achievements, stories, relationships, seasons, memories and progression — while also providing a collection of tools for everyday RP, Dungeon Masters and even tavern games.
And if progression is not your thing?
You do not have to use it.
On first launch, ODYN lets you choose between the Full Kit and a lighter setup focused primarily on the utility tools. Most systems can also be enabled or disabled individually.
ODYN is designed to accompany your RP rather than tell you how to RP.
Total RP 3 Friendly
ODYN is built with Total RP 3 in mind.
It is not intended to replace TRP. Instead, the ODYN is designed to work alongside it.
Your TRP profile can be connected to ODYN so that character information stays synchronized as you update it.
ODYN also supports multiple TRP profiles belonging to the same ODYN character, allowing your progression, history and statistics to follow the character even if you use several TRP profiles for outfits, disguises, alternate appearances or different stages of their life.
You can also choose which TRP profile should be treated as the default for a particular WoW character.
Players without ODYN can still see part of your ODYN profile
ODYN publishes a compact summary into TRP's Additional Information system.
This means a player using TRP but not ODYN can still see a small summary of your ODYN progression when viewing your full TRP profile.
Players who also use ODYN gain access to the much larger ODYN Inspect interface.
Character Progression & Renown
Simply roleplay.
While your character is marked In Character, ODYN can track your RP activity and gradually reward you with Renown.
Progression takes into account things such as:
-
Time spent actively roleplaying
-
Social interactions
-
People you meet
-
New characters encountered
-
RP activity over time
-
Achievements
-
Seasonal objectives
-
Talent bonuses
-
Various character milestones
Renown raises your character's ODYN Level.
Higher levels become progressively more difficult to earn, creating long-term progression without requiring grinding traditional PvE or PvP content.
Renown rewards are presented through animated on-screen feedback, including the customizable ODYN's Eye, which reacts as Renown reaches it.
Legacy Calibration
Already been roleplaying the same character for years?
You should not necessarily have to begin their ODYN journey as though they were created yesterday.
ODYN includes Legacy Calibration, allowing established characters to begin with an appropriate head start and temporary catch-up bonuses.
It is intended as a bridge for characters that existed long before ODYN did.
Talent Atlas
Leveling also unlocks Talent Points.
These are spent inside the Talent Atlas, a large circular talent tree designed specifically around Roleplay progression.
Talents include smaller passive bonuses as well as larger milestone nodes.
Depending on your build, talents can influence the Renown earned from different forms of RP activity or trigger special bonuses under particular circumstances.
The Atlas is designed as a long-term character progression system rather than a traditional combat talent tree.
Level Rewards
Levels are not only numbers.
Progression can unlock rewards such as:
-
Tokens
-
Talent Points
-
Portraits
-
Profile decorations
-
Cosmetics
-
UI customization
-
Badges
-
Seasonal rewards
-
Other collectible presentation options
Level-up notifications clearly display everything unlocked at that level.
Tokens & Customization
Progression awards Tokens, ODYN's cosmetic currency.
Tokens can be spent in the Wardrobe / Customization systems without affecting character power or normal WoW gameplay.
ODYN contains a growing library of cosmetic options, including:
-
Profile themes
-
Portrait frames
-
Headers
-
Header treatments
-
Ornaments
-
Badges
-
Atmospheres
-
Auras and effects
-
Platforms
-
ODYN's Eyes
-
Toast frame treatments
-
Tooltip treatments
-
Focus Marks
-
Profile typography treatments
-
Nameplate accents
-
Interaction decorations
-
Seasonal cosmetics
-
Additional profile presentation options
Many cosmetics react dynamically to your currently selected theme.
ODYN's Eye
One of ODYN's central cosmetic elements is the Eye.
Your equipped Eye appears as part of ODYN's interface and can also be used on the compact Player Frame / map-side widgets.
Each Eye has its own visual identity and animation.
Eyes react to interaction, hover, clicks and Renown progression.
The Wardrobe also allows you to preview Eye animations by hovering over them — including rewards you have not unlocked yet — so you know what you are working toward.
Platforms, Effects & Atmospheres
Profile presentation goes further than static frames.
ODYN supports animated and themed Platforms, environmental effects and profile Atmospheres.
These include visually distinct effects such as:
-
Fireflies
-
Rain
-
Frost
-
Flames
-
Petals
-
Wisps
-
Crescent effects
-
Maple leaves
-
Arcane and celestial effects
-
Seasonal environments
-
And more
These systems are designed to give profiles a different mood without replacing the actual character information.
Seasons
ODYN contains its own seasonal progression system.
Regular seasons are intended to run for approximately three months, with additional rewards and content appearing throughout the season.
Seasonal progression uses its own objectives and reward tracks, allowing you to earn cosmetics and keepsakes tied to a specific period of your character's history.
Daily and weekly objectives are based primarily around ordinary RP activity rather than requiring you to reshape your roleplay around the addon.
Objectives may involve things such as:
-
Roleplaying for a certain amount of time
-
Meeting people
-
Social interactions
-
Emotes
-
Renown gained
-
Other lightweight RP milestones
Tasks can be rerolled.
When a season eventually ends, its history remains part of the character's journey while a new progression track takes its place.
Persona BETA
Persona is ODYN's experimental character introspection system.
The goal is not to write your character for you.
The goal is to help you observe the character you are already playing.
After an initial calibration, Persona gradually builds a private behavioral model based on how you actually roleplay your own character.
It primarily learns from your own IC /say dialogue and emotes.
It does not learn your character by indiscriminately consuming whispers, guild chat or private conversations.
Persona contains several connected systems:
Living State
A lightweight interpretation of your character's current emotional condition based on recent RP.
States can include things such as:
-
Calm
-
Restless
-
Guarded
-
Warm
-
Irritated
-
Reflective
-
Focused
-
Weary
-
Tense
-
Concerned
-
Withdrawn
-
Relieved
-
And others
The current state can also appear alongside ODYN's character status indicators.
Character Memory
Persona can retain important character-relevant events instead of treating every RP scene as completely isolated.
The system is designed to remember context, not simply repeat random lines from earlier conversations.
Relationship Dynamics
Characters your character regularly interacts with can gradually develop contextual importance.
Persona can take relationship information, previous interactions and your character's reactions into account when producing private thoughts.
Session Reflection
After meaningful RP, Persona can reflect on what happened and how it may have affected the character.
Cognitive Events
Persona attempts to recognize certain contextual events such as:
-
Affection
-
Rejection
-
Conflict
-
Concern
-
Success
-
Failure
-
Humor
-
Emotional interactions
-
Other recurring social patterns
Interpretation is intentionally conservative.
A single dramatic sentence should not permanently rewrite your character.
A Learned Inner Voice
Persona can adapt its private thought-writing style according to your character.
Calibration and continued RP can influence things such as:
-
Natural speech
-
Street speech
-
Aristocratic speech
-
Profanity
-
Slang
-
Character preferences
-
Idle habits
-
Likes and dislikes
-
Behavioral tendencies
Persona thoughts only appear while the character is IC.
They are designed as occasional internal flavor, not instructions telling you what your character should do.
Why?
When Persona reaches a conclusion, ODYN can retain the reasoning behind it.
The Why? system lets you inspect what recent observation, memory or context caused a particular thought or state.
Persona remains a BETA feature and can be disabled completely.
Roleplay Session Recording
ODYN can automatically track your time spent roleplaying.
A saved Session can contain information such as:
-
Session duration
-
Characters involved
-
New people encountered
-
Social interactions
-
Places visited
-
Important moments
-
Date and time
-
Character statistics
-
Notes
-
Other contextual information
Sessions can be saved into your character's Chronicle.
You can revisit old RP, attach additional notes and preserve important moments rather than letting months of roleplay disappear into memory.
Selected sessions can also be displayed through your profile.
Chronicle & Memoirs
Your character's recorded history is organized inside ODYN's Chronicle.
It acts as a long-term archive for sessions, important moments and other character records.
Instead of ODYN simply being a level bar, the Chronicle gives that progression a history you can actually look back on.
Story Arcs
Characters rarely remain static.
ODYN includes a visual Story Arc Board where you can map major parts of your character's ongoing story.
Create nodes, connect events and build a large visual workspace representing:
-
Story beats
-
Character developments
-
Locations
-
Turning points
-
Goals
-
Important scenes
-
Relationships between events
The board supports zooming, panning and large multi-node layouts.
Story information can also be exchanged between compatible ODYN users when appropriate.
Roleplay Achievements
ODYN includes a large collection of Roleplay Achievements.
Some achievements are:
-
Automatically detected
-
Manually recorded
-
Character-specific
-
Account-wide
-
Progress-based
-
Social
-
Exploration-oriented
-
Seasonal
-
Related to ODYN's other systems
Achievements can reward Renown and cosmetics.
If an achievement unlocks something, hovering it will tell you exactly what reward it provides.
The system is intended to preserve memorable RP milestones, not turn roleplay into a checklist.
Health System
The old Injury Manager has grown into a much larger Health System.
Instead of writing everything into your TRP Currently field, you can visually record injuries and physical changes on your character.
Injuries can be positioned directly on a body representation and customized by:
-
Location
-
Severity
-
Scale
-
Rotation
-
Notes
-
Recovery state
-
Visibility
-
Additional information
Recovery can progress through stages such as:
Fresh → Treated → Recovering → Healed
ODYN also supports Permanent Changes separately from injuries, including things such as amputations and prosthetics.
Permanent physical changes do not automatically count as the character currently being injured.
Medical History
Health information can be archived into a chronological Medical History.
This creates a long-term record of:
-
Injuries
-
Treatments
-
Recovery
-
Permanent changes
-
Important medical events
Records can be reviewed later instead of disappearing the moment an injury heals.
Treatment & Health Sharing
ODYN supports player-to-player Health inspection.
Another ODYN user can inspect the public portion of your character's Health information.
The system also contains treatment-related tools and consent-aware interaction so Health features can be incorporated into medical RP without the addon arbitrarily changing another player's character.
DM tools can also interact with the Health system during hosted encounters.
Skill Set
ODYN includes a character Skill Set system.
You can record what your character is good — or terrible — at using a premade and expanding catalogue of roleplay-oriented proficiencies.
Categories include character capabilities such as:
-
Weapons
-
Armor proficiencies
-
Shields
-
Practical abilities
-
Knowledge
-
Social capabilities
-
Other RP-facing skills
Skill Sets can also be viewed through ODYN Inspect.
These values are descriptive character tools and do not modify actual WoW combat statistics.
Optional Character Sheet Statistics
For players who want more structured tabletop-style RP, ODYN also supports optional DnD-like character statistics.
These can interact with the DM Kit's roll checks while remaining completely separate from normal WoW gameplay and the standard Skill Set.
DM Kit
ODYN includes a full optional Dungeon Master Kit.
It is disabled by default because most players do not DM.
You can enable it with one click from Settings.
The DM Kit supports features such as:
-
Creating persistent campaigns
-
Hosting campaigns
-
Inviting players
-
Campaign notes
-
Custom NPCs
-
Player and NPC health tracking
-
Raid beacon integration
-
Encounters
-
Status effects
-
Reusable status templates
-
Roll checks
-
Initiative
-
Initiative timelines
-
Combat phases
-
Pause / resume controls
-
Layout presets
-
Campaign organization
-
Shared encounter information
-
Health-system awareness
Campaign preparation can be saved while live encounters remain synchronized through the host.
The idea is to keep mechanical bookkeeping out of the way so the DM can concentrate on actually running the scene.
Unofficial In-Game Hearthstone
Hearthstone exists inside Warcraft's world, so naturally ODYN contains a completely unofficial, fan-made tabletop version for RP.
Challenge another ODYN player to a game or practice against a bot.
The system includes:
-
Player vs Player matches
-
Practice vs Bot
-
Multiple bot difficulties
-
Deck building
-
Card collections
-
Card packs
-
Pack opening
-
Card backs
-
Weapons
-
Abilities
-
Animated card interactions
-
Concede flow
-
Match history
-
Spectating
-
Optional card wagering
-
Custom board presentation
And yes:
Hard Bot actually tries.
This is a fan-made minigame and is not affiliated with Blizzard's official Hearthstone game.
Chess & Checkers
Not every tavern needs Hearthstone.
ODYN also includes fully playable:
-
Chess
-
Checkers
Both support online 1v1 matches as well as practice bots.
Players can bring their own board/piece presentation into a match, giving each side its own visual identity.
Spectating support is also available for ODYN's multiplayer tabletop systems.
Currency Widget
ODYN contains a lightweight fictional RP Currency system.
This is completely separate from your actual WoW gold.
You can create and track fictional character money through a small draggable currency widget.
It is intended for RP economies, taverns, merchants, campaigns and similar situations without touching Blizzard's real currency APIs.
Optional Survival System
For players who enjoy additional immersion, ODYN includes an optional Survival system with:
-
Hunger
-
Thirst
-
Persistent survival status
-
A compact Survival widget
These values gradually change while you play and can create visible character-state indicators.
Do not like survival mechanics?
Disable them.
Roleplay Calendar
ODYN includes a dedicated Roleplay Calendar with a cleaner, RP-focused interface.
Create character events and keep track of upcoming plans without filling your normal WoW calendar.
Events can include information such as:
-
Date
-
Time
-
Location
-
Notes
-
Related story information
ODYN can notify you on the day of an event and again when it is approaching.
Huginn Companion Support
ODYN also supports Huginn, its optional desktop companion.
Huginn can provide community-calendar information (Argent Dawn Blizzard Forums and Argent Archieves!) to ODYN through a small bridge addon.
ODYN itself does not require direct internet access to read those events.
Community events supplied through Huginn appear separately from events you personally created.
Huginn is optional. ODYN works without it.

Quick Actions
ODYN includes a context-sensitive Quick Action system designed for everyday RP.
Hover over another character and use your configured interaction key to access shortcuts such as:
-
Inspect Profile
-
Chat Log
-
Whisper
-
Open TRP
-
Other context actions
When targeting yourself, contextual actions can include things such as toggling IC/OOC state or controlling your current RP Session.
Keybinds are customizable.
Contextual bindings are only active while the relevant ODYN interface is being used, helping avoid permanently stealing ordinary WoW keybinds.
Hover Log
ODYN maintains a lightweight nearby RP Chat Log while you are playing.
It is designed for situations where:
-
Chat moved too quickly
-
You missed someone's line
-
Several people are talking at once
-
You want to quickly review nearby RP
The Hover Log is runtime-only.
Its nearby chat history is not written into your SavedVariables as a permanent conversation archive.
Focus Messages
Crowded RP can become impossible to follow.
From the Hover Log, ODYN allows you to Focus Messages from selected characters.
When Focus Messages is active, RP text from other speakers is visually de-emphasized while your selected characters remain easy to read.
You can focus multiple people at once.
When nobody is focused anymore, normal chat emphasis is automatically restored.
Chat Quality-of-Life Tools
ODYN also contains several smaller RP-oriented chat conveniences.
These include contextual controls for:
-
IC/OOC switching
-
RP interaction shortcuts
-
Chat speaker selection
-
Companion/NPC speaker cycling
-
Long emote handling
-
Roleplay-specific keybind behavior
These systems are designed to interfere with normal WoW controls as little as possible.
Companion / NPC Speaker Tools
For players who roleplay companions, pets or NPCs, ODYN includes speaker utilities that allow you to switch the active RP speaker more conveniently while writing.
The system is designed around contextual use so ordinary chat behavior remains intact when you are not using it.
Public ODYN Inspect
Players using ODYN can inspect one another through a dedicated profile interface.
Depending on what the character has chosen to expose, Inspect can present information such as:
-
Character progression
-
Level
-
Renown-related statistics
-
Achievements
-
Skill Set
-
Saved character information
-
Sessions
-
Health
-
Profile presentation
-
Other public ODYN data
Health inspection is separated from normal Profile inspection so players are not forced to expose medical information just because someone views their character.
Player Frame & Map Widget
ODYN can provide compact clickable HUD widgets for quick access to character information.
These widgets support ODYN's cosmetic system, including your currently equipped Eye.
They include hover and click feedback so the widgets remain visually interactive without becoming large HUD elements.
They can also be repositioned.
Themes & UI Layout
ODYN's interface is heavily customizable.
Many UI elements react to your selected theme, and numerous widgets can be moved or adjusted to better suit your interface.
ODYN includes UI-scale handling, layout settings and cosmetic presentation without requiring you to rebuild your entire WoW UI around the addon.
Full Kit or Lite Kit
ODYN is large.
I am aware of that.
That is why the addon does not require you to participate in every system.
During initial setup you can choose a lighter experience if you mainly want the tools rather than:
-
Renown progression
-
Seasons
-
Cosmetic collecting
-
Talent progression
-
Other long-term systems
Many individual systems are also optional afterward.
Privacy & Character Data
ODYN stores character data locally through WoW's normal SavedVariables system.
Persona's learning systems are character-scoped and are built around the player's own roleplay input.
The Hover Log is temporary and is not designed as a permanent private-chat archive.
Online ODYN systems exchange only the information required for the particular multiplayer feature being used.
Long story short, no god dammit I am not selling your WoW information to people! ♥
Made for Roleplay, Not Against It
The central philosophy behind ODYN is simple:
The addon should observe your roleplay, not force your roleplay to serve the addon.
You should not need to grind awkward actions, spam emotes or alter your character's personality just because a progress bar exists.
Progression, achievements, Persona, Health, Sessions and the Chronicle are all intended to sit behind the roleplay itself.
Your character comes first.

ART & ASSET NOTICE
No image or texture artwork included in ODYN has been generated by AI.
Original assets created specifically for ODYN were made by hand by the developer.
Third-party assets are used only where licensing permits it and are credited inside the addon.
Some procedural visual behaviors — particularly certain effects and Platform implementations — were developed with AI-assisted Lua coding, in the same way code elsewhere in the addon has been developed with programming assistance.
That does not mean generated artwork was inserted into the addon.
Full third-party credits and license notices are included with ODYN.
Art is for artists. (I am a terrible one but it looks servicable enough lol)
