Odd Guild – Guild Mythic+ Party Finder & Roster Manager

Odd Guild is a World of Warcraft Retail addon designed to help members of the Odd guild organize Mythic+ dungeon groups, manage party applications, and view guild character information directly in the game.

Instead of repeatedly posting recruitment messages in guild chat, members can use a shared recruitment board to create groups, find available roles, review applications, and coordinate dungeon runs.

Important: This addon is specifically designed for the Odd guild (Guild Club ID: 56872063, Azshara). It checks the current character's guild membership before enabling its guild-specific features. It is not a general-purpose public group finder.

Main Features

1. Real-Time and Scheduled Party Recruitment

The addon provides two recruitment modes:

• Real-Time Recruitment: Create or join a group that intends to start playing immediately. When the leader approves an application, the addon can request an in-game party invitation.

• Scheduled Recruitment: Create a group for a future departure time. Members can reserve their positions, and the leader can invite approved participants when the group is ready.

Recruitment entries display the dungeon, Mythic+ key level, party composition, available roles, and recruitment status.

The party composition is shown using tank, healer, and damage-dealer counts. Leaders can review applications even when the usual role composition is already filled, as long as the total party capacity allows it.

This helps guild members organize flexible compositions without relying solely on the default role distribution.

2. Party Applications and Group Management

Players can browse active recruitment entries and apply to join a group.

Group leaders receive application notifications and can accept or reject applicants. The addon distinguishes between a pending application, an approved reservation, an invitation, and an actual party member.

Group management features include:

• Inviting approved applicants.

• Displaying the current party roster and available roles.

• Viewing and managing scheduled reservations.

• Requesting party removal or group management actions where permitted by the game.

• Tracking groups that have started a Mythic+ run.

The addon uses World of Warcraft's party APIs. Party invitations, acceptance, removal, and related actions remain subject to Blizzard's security restrictions and may require direct player interaction.

3. Automatic Character Information

The addon collects available character information through World of Warcraft's in-game APIs.

Character profiles can display:

• Faction, race, class, and active specialization.

• Current specialization role (tank, healer, or damage dealer).

• Character level for characters below the maximum level.

• Equipped average item level for maximum-level characters.

• Current-season Mythic+ rating.

• Owned Mythic Keystone dungeon and key level.

• Selected utility capabilities, such as Bloodlust/Heroism and combat resurrection.

This information helps group leaders evaluate applicants without repeatedly asking guild members for basic character details.

Information that cannot be retrieved is identified as unavailable instead of being assigned an estimated value. Offline character information may reflect the last recorded session.

4. Main Character and Alternate Character Identification

Players can register characters they have logged into and select one character as their main.

Other registered characters are automatically associated with that selected main character.

For example:

• HanDal – Main character

• Magideu – HanDal's alternate character

The addon can also display main/alternate relationships in supported chat views without changing actual character names or their underlying game identities.

This helps guild members recognize each other when switching between characters.

5. Guild Roster and Shared Notes

Odd Guild includes a compact guild roster inspired by the default World of Warcraft guild interface.

Members can view character names, classes, online status, last-seen information, guild notes, and available Mythic+ ratings.

The roster supports sorting by name, class, connection status, and Mythic+ rating.

A separate addon note system allows players to write notes about their own characters. These notes can be shared with other guild members using compatible versions of the addon.

Each character's shared note is editable only by its owner through the addon. The original in-game guild notes remain separate and are not modified by this feature.

6. Guild Chat Integration and Notifications

Party leaders can announce recruitment entries through guild chat.

Recruitment messages include the recruitment type, dungeon, Mythic+ key level, and an addon-specific link to open the recruitment interface.

Manual guild-chat promotions are rate-limited to reduce message spam.

The addon also provides application notifications, a notification history interface, role and specialization icons, and customizable access buttons.

Players can open the addon with /odd or /오드, use the minimap button, or configure a movable on-screen Odd Guild icon.

Example of How It Works

1. A guild member opens Odd Guild and creates a real-time +10 Mythic+ recruitment entry.

2. Other guild members with the addon installed see the recruitment entry and its available roles.

3. Interested players submit applications. The group leader receives a notification and reviews the applicants.

4. Approved players can receive party invitations through the game's party system.

5. When the group begins its dungeon run, the recruitment interface can reflect its in-progress state.

For scheduled recruitment, the same process can be used to reserve places in advance and organize invitations closer to the planned departure time.

Requirements and Limitations

• Designed for World of Warcraft Retail.

• Intended exclusively for characters belonging to Odd Guild

• Guild recruitment synchronization requires participating members to install compatible addon versions.

• Members without the addon may still appear in the in-game party or guild roster, but they cannot exchange addon-specific profile data.

• Main and alternate character relationships are based on locally registered characters and user-selected main character settings.

• The addon does not use an external account service or require a separate Battle.net API key.

• Certain functions depend on available game data and Blizzard's protected UI/API restrictions.

• The addon is currently distributed as a Beta and is undergoing continued testing and improvement.

• The primary user interface is designed for Korean-speaking guild members.

Odd Guild is intended to make everyday guild activities more convenient by combining recruitment, party coordination, character identification, and guild roster information into one interface.
