Description
Nyte Lyte's Paladin Toolkit replaces a stack of WeakAuras and PallyPower with one addon built for World of Warcraft: Forever. Pick Holy, Protection or Retribution (or let it detect your spec from your talents) and it shows what matters for that spec.
Features
- Spec aware: Auto, Holy, Protection or Retribution, each with its own modules, cooldown bar and frame positions. Switch instantly with
/ptk holy,/ptk prot,/ptk retor a keybind. - Buff Sentinel: icons pop up when your Aura or Blessing is missing (red) or about to run out, plus Righteous Fury as Protection and your Seal in combat. A yellow border means "there, but not as assigned": you're running a different Aura than your Blessing grid says, or another paladin's Blessing is sitting where yours should be. It also warns when another paladin runs the same Aura as you (they don't stack).
/ptk checkand ready checks report it all. - Seal Tracker: your Seal with a draining timer, plus Twist of Light's Echo for Retribution. In combat, the last 5 seconds turn the bar red and pulse the icon (optional sound).
- Cooldown HUD: your spec's cooldowns with swipes that keep working in combat. It ignores the global cooldown, and Cleanse/Purify only show in a group. Rearrange it to match your action bars:
/ptk unlock, click an icon, then click the spot it should go, or type/ptk cd move Judgement first. Add or remove spells with/ptk cd. - Tank Kit: a big Righteous Fury warning, large tanking cooldowns (Judgement shows TAUNT under Seal of Fury), and an Iron Creed timer.
- Blessing Manager (PallyPower-style): an assignment grid for every paladin in the group, with live sync between paladins running the addon.
- Per-player exceptions: right-click a class cell to give one player a different Blessing than their class, e.g. Kings instead of Salvation on the tank.
- Tank-aware auto-suggest: tanks never keep Salvation.
- Group coverage: see who is missing a Blessing from any paladin, and which classes nobody covers. Two paladins on the same Aura get flagged.
- One-press buff button: casts your assigned Blessing on whoever needs it most: missing first, then about to expire, then the lowest timer. Bind it to a key. After a fight it pulses and lists anyone who now needs a rebuff, and
/ptk buffsshows who is missing yours. - Resizable frames: every bar and the buff button scale from 50% to 200%, from the settings (
/ptk), the mouse wheel over an unlocked frame, or/ptk scale. - Profile export/import: copy your whole setup as one text string.
Plays by Blizzard's rules
Forever hides a lot of combat information from addons, and this addon follows those rules:
- No combat log, threat meter, enemy tracking or rotation advice.
- Never sends chat or marks targets by itself. "Announce" only posts when you click it.
- Every button press casts exactly one spell. Nothing is automated.
- Where Forever hides your buffs mid-fight, the addon keeps what it saw before the pull and follows your own casts. Anything worked out this way is marked with
*.
Getting started
/ptkopens the settings./ptk unlocklets you drag and resize the frames and reorder the cooldown bar, and/ptk locklocks them. Positions, sizes and order are saved per spec./ptk blessopens the Blessing grid./ptk helplists every command.- Keybindings: Options → Keybindings → AddOns → Nyte Lyte's Paladin Toolkit.
It only runs on Paladins. On other characters it stays switched off, so it's safe to leave enabled account-wide.
Good to know
- Some later spells and talents (Twist of Light, Iron Creed) couldn't be tested yet. Their details correct themselves once the addon sees them.
- If your settings ever reset after a game restart (a known Forever beta issue), the addon tells you. Keep a
/ptk exportstring saved to restore them.
