It appears this image file wasn't 100% valid and at some point Blizzard
decided to validate image files I guess and it failed miserably. It seems
to be tied to the reason some people were getting memory related crashes recently.

 

Whilst I couldn't replicate the crashing instance on Classic like I could on Retail
it's possible that the reason it happens for some people on Classic. Replacing this
image on Retail did allow me to go back to using nUI since the 11.2 patch caused it
to crash every time I logged in, logged out or reloaded within seconds and minutes.
