npcfind
npcfind helps you locate NPCs in the original Classic world while playing. Search for an NPC by name or partial name, or look for a service, and get the zone and coordinates to help you reach the location. If you have TomTom installed, a waypoint arrow will also be set.
Features
- Search by NPC name: Find a particular NPC without needing to remember which town or zone they are in. You can search by first name, last name, or any part of their name or title. /npc namehere
- Search by service or category: Look for useful NPCs, such as innkeepers, when you need a service but do not know the NPC’s name.
- Faction filtering: Results are filtered for your character’s faction, helping you find NPCs you can interact with.
- TomTom integration: Create a waypoint for a selected result so you can follow directions to the NPC.
How it helps while playing
If you need an innkeeper in an unfamiliar area, npcfind lets you search for one and set a waypoint to the location. If you remember an NPC’s name but have forgotten where they are, you can look them up directly.
The addon brings NPC location lookup into the game, reducing the need to switch to a browser or search around a town manually.
Scope and requirements
npcfind is focused on the original Classic world, including Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.
It uses a bundled NPC database rather than live tracking.
TomTom is required for waypoint arrows, though coordinates are offered if it is not installed.
