NordavindLC is a loot council addon designed for organized raid guilds. It streamlines the entire loot distribution process — from detecting boss drops to ranking candidates and awarding items — all within a clean, themed UI.
Automatic Loot Detection
When a boss is killed, NordavindLC automatically detects all epic-quality gear drops and presents them to the raid
leader in a loot panel. Officers can review the items, remove any they don't want to council, and start a council
session for all remaining items with one click. Non-equippable items, cosmetics, warbound gear, and non-epic items are
automatically filtered out.
Multi-Item Council Sessions
All loot from a boss kill is presented to raiders simultaneously in a single popup. For each item, raiders can see the
item level, their currently equipped item in that slot, and the ilvl difference. Raiders choose from context-aware
response categories:
- Upgrade — direct main spec upgrade (with optional note explaining why)
- Catalyst — plan to convert to a tier-set piece
- Offspec — needed for an alternate role
- Tmog — wanted for transmog/appearance only
Categories are filtered per item — you won't see irrelevant options (e.g., Catalyst only shows for tier-eligible
slots).
Timed Responses
Each council session runs on a countdown timer with color-coded urgency (gold → orange → red). When the timer expires,
responses are automatically submitted, keeping raids moving.
Score-Based Ranking (Officers)
Officers see a detailed ranking frame that sorts all interested players by a composite loot score. The score is
calculated from data synced from your guild website, including:
- Raid attendance percentage
- Warcraft Logs parse performance
- Defensive cooldown usage
- Mythic+ effort
- Current loot received (weekly and total)
- Tier set piece count (with bonus priority for players 1 piece away from a set bonus)
Each candidate row shows their guild rank (Raider/Backup/Trial), score with full breakdown tooltip, ilvl difference,
tier piece count, and contextual warnings (low attendance, low parses, already received loot this week, trial status).
Wizard Mode for Multi-Item Awards
When multiple items drop, officers step through them one by one in a wizard interface with navigation arrows and
progress tracking (e.g., "Item 2 / 4"). Items can be awarded, skipped, or set aside for later. The wizard
auto-advances to the next item after each award.
Loot Awards & Announcements
When an officer awards an item, it is announced to the raid via raid warning so everyone sees the decision
immediately. Awards are recorded locally and queued for export to your guild website via the companion app.
Auto-Pass for Raiders
Non-officer raiders automatically pass on loot rolls when the addon is active, since all distribution goes through the
council. This prevents accidental need/greed rolls from interfering with the process.
Smart Activation
The addon only activates when you enter a raid instance. The raid leader is prompted to enable it per instance, and
the choice is remembered so you won't be asked again. All other raid members activate automatically when the leader
broadcasts activation.
Companion App (Included)
A Node.js companion app bridges the addon and your guild website:
- Import — fetches player scoring data (attendance, parses, M+ effort, loot history) from your website and writes it
into the addon's SavedVariables
- Watch mode — continuously syncs scoring data and automatically uploads loot awards back to the website
