Your gear's score, on the character sheet you actually use, and a word that was wrong everywhere it appeared.
Build Score on Blizzard's character sheet
Mahler's Armory has totalled every equipped item's score for a while, but only inside its own window. The sheet people open with C had nothing, and that is the window you are looking at when you are deciding whether a drop is worth wearing.
It is now there, in the empty column beside the gear it totals: a ring reading your whole character as one number. Hovering it says what went into it, including how many pieces it could not read, because a total that quietly omits a trinket is worse than one that admits it is a floor.
The spot was measured rather than guessed. Blizzard's character frame is 384 by 512, its left equipment column ends around x 46, and the character's body sits near the middle, so the strip between them carries nothing but background art on every class and every race.
"Weight" was the wrong word, in five places
The numbers the profiles hold really are weights: a levelling warrior values Strength at 1.0 and Agility at 0.35. But the number you get after applying them is not a weight, it is a score, and the addon called both by the same name.
On the character sheet that was actively confusing, because Item Level sits a few inches away and nothing said what made the two different. So:
- The ring is Build Score, and its tooltip says plainly that unlike item level, this one depends on your spec.
- Item tooltips read "Build score for your spec" rather than "Weight for your class".
- The comparison window reads Score and Score change rather than Weight and Weight change.
Nothing about the arithmetic changed. The word "weight" is kept exactly where it is correct: the per-stat coefficients, and the ledger that tracks which of them are still missing.
As with every release here, the eleven package versions move together to 1.9.7.
