Hate how the game automatically closes windows whenever you open another one?
This is now an issue of the past!
This addon disables most of Blizzard's "UI panel" system, which is responsible for closing windows when you open a different one.
Life is not all sweet however, and disabling this behaviour has the side effect of windows no longer being put in their default position. This is easily solved by installing BlizzMove, which can allow you to remember frame positions, and drag frames around to your heart's content 🙂.
There are a few frames which have significant issues when you disable Blizzard's default behaviour on them, which is why this addon sadly has to ignore those. Blame Blizzard :)
Examples are the spellbook and communities frames, which would cause issues with managing guild ranks etc
This addon is made specifically to improve the user experience when using BlizzMove. I don't think anyone would like to use this addon without having something like BlizzMove installed.
Bonus feature: This addon will bypass the "Interface action failed because of an AddOn" error whenever it's possible.
Disclaimer: I use this addon personally, and there are rare bugs when you nuke Blizzard's UI Panel manager. I've learned to live with it, as most of the issues are hard or impossible to fix. I don't usually experience any real big issues, but your mileage may vary ;)
LUA Error on open Dragonriding Skills & Unlocks:
to fix it, add "GenericTraitFrame" to ignore
In reply to fuba82:
should be fixed in the next version (downloadable soon ™)
the problem was that the talent UI code tried to read the position of the frame, before this addons default positioning logic kicked in
so I've shifted the default positioning to happen earlier, and that seems to have fixed it, without causing new issues

thanks
Is it possibe to open mail and auction at the same time?
In reply to DivanGuy:
that's not possible unfortunately, blizzard only lets you interact with 1 kind of thing at a time (auction house npc, mail box object/npc, etc)
nice addon
there is a bug,
professions trainer a windows open where you click "Train me", it normal close when click, now it stay open, to i close it.
put professions trainer on a ignore list
thanks for it, enjoy it.
In reply to picro:
it's not really a bug
but in the latest version, gossip windows should now close when it makes sense to close
How does this addon not have millions of downloads??
In reply to Luunii_:
glad you like it :)
Hi, I would like to ask if it is possible to increase the setting options? For example, some windows I want to no longer close, and some windows I want to close automatically.
In reply to fegafiky:
bit of a copy/paste from a similar feature request on github
I'm not planning on doing this, at least for now
I've been playing with this addon in some form for a few years now (only made public recently)
and I've noticed that it's very unpleasant to have some frames ignored
especially in dragonflight, that causes weird interactions, when you have a few ignored frames (for example, there was an issue with the spellframe if it was ignored, which meant it'd open and close randomly, which is very annoying)
this addon unfortunately is a bit of an all or nothing kind of deal, this is due to how blizzard's UI Panel system works, fully opting out it fine, fully opting in is fine, but doing a 50/50 is quite a bad user experience
never say never, but I hope that makes you understand my pov on this :)
In reply to Numedain:
Well, the idea is cool, I found some "LUA" to solve it, coupled with "no-auto-close",1+1>2, I am very satisfied with the effect.
In reply to fegafiky:
Can u link it?
