Description

NexLoot

Fair raid loot without roll spam. When an item drops, everyone in the raid picks what it means to them. NexLoot rolls only among the players in the highest tier, shows a suggestion, and the raid lead hands it out with one click. Every award, roll and coin change is saved and synced to the whole guild.

Interface language: English and German. NexLoot follows your game language; switch any time in the options or with /nex language en / /nex language de.
Game: made for World of Warcraft: Forever.

How it works

  1. Add items. The raid lead adds loot with /nex add [Item] or Alt+Click. Everyone gets a vote window.
  2. Vote. Pick one choice per item and add a note if you like (e.g. "BiS", "2-piece set"):
    Nex-Coins › Upgrade › Raid OS › OS/PvP › Transmog › Pass
  3. Release. The highest chosen tier always wins, and only players in that tier roll. With Nex-Coins your coin balance is added to your roll (from 30 coins).
  4. Assign. NexLoot suggests a winner. "Assign" gives the item to the suggestion, right-click gives it to someone else. The winner gets a whisper telling them how to pick it up.

Answers stay hidden until the item is released, so nobody can wait and see what the others picked.

Features

Nex-Coins

  • Your own guild currency for raid attendance: give raid points to everyone in the session with one click, with a separate amount for the bench.
  • Winning with Nex-Coins costs half your coins if someone else wanted the item as an Upgrade. Otherwise you keep them.
  • Optional weekly decay (10 %).
  • Coin changes with a reason, negative balances by hand, full history.

Sessions

  • Named raid sessions you can continue later. Attendance is recorded.
  • Every item keeps its answers, rolls and notes.
  • Reopen old sessions to fix an answer, re-assign an item (coins are refunded and charged again) or award coins afterwards.
  • If the raid lead disconnects, the session survives the relog, or another officer takes over.

Database & history

  • Coins and loot history with filters by player, session and type.
  • Item tooltips show who got the item last and how often it has dropped.
  • Delete data with a password set by the guild master.

Trades

  • Page with every pending trade and its remaining trade time.
  • Warning at 15 minutes and a "whisper everyone" reminder.
  • Won items are placed into the trade window automatically.

Loot settings (master looter)

  • Auto-loot, a fixed disenchanter and item rules by quality.

Roles & permissions

  • Give each guild rank a role: Member, Raid Lead, Officer or Guild Lead.
  • Give single players a higher role without promoting them in the guild.
  • "Advanced" view for fine-grained rights: lead sessions, see answers early, release & assign, end or take over sessions, give raid points, edit coins, permissions.

Guild-wide sync

  • Everything is synced over the raid and the guild. Officers who were offline get the current state on their next login.
  • Version check: see everyone's NexLoot version and whisper players with an old one.

Comfort

  • One main window with a navigation on the left: Distribution, Trades, Sessions, Database, Options, Version.
  • Choice names and colors can be customized for the whole guild.
  • Color themes, per-window scaling (Ctrl + mouse wheel), minimap button.
  • Test mode with fake players: /nex test

FAQ

Does everyone need the add-on?
Everyone who wants to vote needs it. Players with an old version get a whisper from the raid lead.

Who can award loot and change coins?
That depends on the roles you set per guild rank. By default the guild master and officers can do everything and everyone else votes.

Does it need anything outside the game?
No. NexLoot works completely on its own. The optional companion kit below adds a website, Discord posts and backups.

Companion app & website (optional)

NexLoot works on its own. If you want your loot and Nex-Coins on the web as well, there is a free companion kit:

  • Companion app (Windows, system tray) for officers: uploads the add-on's data after every logout or /reload and brings newer data back into the game
  • Website (read-only) for the whole guild: leaderboard, history, sessions with every answer and roll, attendance and coin statistics. English and German, works on phones
  • Discord post after every raid and for the weekly decay (optional)
  • Nightly backup by email (optional)

Every guild runs its own copy on free Supabase and Netlify accounts. There is no shared server, and nobody else can reach your data. Players only need the add-on. One officer with the app is enough.

Download and setup guide: github.com/oldschql/nexloot-companion

Requires NexLoot 0.26.0 or newer. The companion app and its Discord posts are in German; the setup guide explains every label in English.
