Description
Neighborhood Hide & Seek helps you run a full game of hide and seek with a group of friends in your WoW housing neighborhood. The party or raid leader advances through each phase - house selection, game mode selection, seeker selection, hiding, searching, and reveal - while a compact HUD keeps all players in sync automatically.
How It Works
- Timers, phases, seeker assignments, and all required information are broadcast automatically to all group members.
- Each session the leader chooses your house source: the current neighborhood, a personal saved list, or your group members' plots.
- Each round, the leader picks a house, a game mode, and seeker(s).
- Automatic map pins to the selected house's plot are shared in the group chat.
- Seekers automatically have their nameplates, names, party frames, and minimap UI turned off, to enhance the seeker experience.
- Seekers automatically mark other players as found when they become targeted.
Game Modes
Each round the leader picks from 12 game modes, or draws one at random from a configurable pool. Each game mode brings some chaos and some more fun into your games!
| Mode | Description |
|---|---|
| Normal | Standard hide and seek. No special rules. |
| Normal Plus | The closest hider roars every 10 seconds. Once one hider remains, the seeker gets hot/cold distance hints. |
| Hot and Cold | The seeker always sees hot/cold distance hints. Shorter search time. |
| Bloodhound | Hiders must keep moving. Every 6 seconds the seeker gets a directional arrow to the longest-stationary hider - blue when far, red when close. |
| Paired | Two seekers hunt together. Shorter search time. |
| Chosen One | One player hides while everyone else seeks. Search time is reduced by 15 seconds per seeker. |
| Conquer | Found players join the seeker team. Shorter search time. |
| Sardines | One player hides. Seekers who find them squeeze in and hide too - round ends when no seekers remain or time runs out. |
| Lightning | Only 30 seconds to hide. Shorter search time. |
| Overtime | 60 seconds to hide. Seekers start with 60 seconds plus 10 per hider, and each found player adds 45 seconds back to the clock. |
| Toying Around | Hiders can use a random toy every 30 seconds to send a hindrance to the seeker. Requires a common toy pool across the group. |
| Hot Potato | 60 seconds to hide. When the seeker finds a hider they swap roles - no tagbacks. Whoever is still the seeker when time runs out loses. |
Custom House List
Anyone can make a custom house list for use within the game. While in a neighborhood you can select a house and assign a size to it for reference during the game. Houses from different subdivisions and neighborhoods can be added to your saved list.
Neighborhood Navigation
Using the neighborhood house list you can easily find your way around the neighborhood. Find the house you want from the numerically ordered plots with the ability to create a map pin directly to it!
