Description
NeatPlates Community Edition
Updated for Mists of Pandaria Classic Phase 5+ and TBC anniversary
NeatPlates Community Edition is an updated version of NeatPlates for World of Warcraft: Mists of Pandaria Classic and TBC anniversary.
It keeps the familiar NeatPlates experience working on the current MoP Classic client, including Phase 5 and later updates, while preserving existing profiles, settings, themes, and addon behavior as closely as possible.
Recent Blizzard UI and API changes caused several compatibility issues in older NeatPlates versions, including Lua errors, deprecated API calls, broken library behavior, and theme-specific rendering problems. This Community Edition fixes those issues so players can continue using NeatPlates without having to rebuild their nameplate setup from scratch.
What This Version Does
- Updates NeatPlates for MoP Classic Phase 5+ and TBC anniversary
- Fixes known Lua errors caused by Blizzard API changes
- Preserves existing WTF/profile settings where possible
- Keeps original themes and layouts available
- Improves compatibility with current Classic clients
- Adds small quality-of-life fixes while staying close to the original addon
Who Is This For?
This version is intended for players who already like NeatPlates and want to keep using it in Mists of Pandaria Classic or TBC anniversary
It is especially useful if you want to keep your existing profiles, themes, and nameplate setup instead of switching to a completely different addon.
Community Edition
NeatPlates Community Edition exists to keep NeatPlates functional and maintained for current WoW Classic versions.
The goal is not to redesign the addon or turn it into something different. The focus is compatibility, stability, and preserving the original NeatPlates feel.
Bug reports, suggestions, and pull requests are welcome.
