Curated quest data for Completion Navigator.

This addon has no window, no commands and no settings. It contributes a table of hand-checked quest information to Completion Navigator and stops. Everything you see and do stays where it already was.

What it adds

Prerequisites, in the right order. The game does not reliably tell an addon what a quest needs first. When it cannot, Completion Navigator falls back to what your own play has taught it — which is honest, and thin on a fresh character. These rows fill that gap for the chains that matter.

Where a quest is handed in. The client's waypoint moves as you progress, so it cannot answer "where does this end?" until you are nearly there. A curated turn-in point can, which is what lets a route be planned rather than followed.

Breadcrumbs that are already gone. A breadcrumb quest is removed the moment you start the thing it points at. Without this, an addon has no way to tell "you missed it permanently" from "you have not got to it yet" — and sends you looking for something that is not there.

Who can take it. Class, race, faction and level gates, so /cn alts can answer "could any of my characters do this?" rather than only "can this one?"

Every row was checked by a person

That sentence is the whole point, and it is the one thing that cannot be recovered once it stops being true.

Completion Navigator deliberately keeps two tables: what somebody verified, and what it has merely observed happening in that order across many players. /cn provenance tells you which is which, and rows from this addon are reported separately from the addon's own — because "checked by hand" is a claim about who did the checking.

A row gets in here when the chain was actually walked, or the prerequisite confirmed by reading the quest text. Not when a database said so.

Why it is a separate addon

Quest data changes on Blizzard's schedule. Code changes on ours. Shipping the rows separately means a patch-day data update does not republish the addon, and a player who would rather not carry a few hundred kilobytes of quest tables can decline them without losing anything else.

Requirements

Completion Navigator must be installed and enabled. This addon declares a hard dependency on it and will not load without it — which is deliberate: a data addon with nothing to give its data to should say so rather than sit there.

It also needs a version of Completion Navigator that records where quest data came from — 0.91.0 or newer. Against an older one this addon contributes nothing and says so once at login, rather than handing over rows that would be counted as Completion Navigator's own hand-checked work. That distinction is the point of the project, so it is not one to give up quietly.

Contributing a row

If you have walked a chain the addon gets wrong, /cn export in Completion Navigator produces a block in exactly the format this file uses. The issue tracker takes them, and CURATING.md in the repository sets out the bar a row has to clear before it lands.
