What's new

> **Test version (beta2).** This build previews 0.1.0, so things may still change before the full release.

## [0.1.0-beta2] - 2026-10-13

### Changed

- **Retail 12.1.5**: the addon targets the new Retail patch (Interface 120105), so the game no longer lists it as out of date.

## [0.1.0-beta1] - 2026-09-30

### Added

- **Quest objectives on enemy nameplates**: an icon and a counter on every enemy that advances one
of your objectives, read from the unit's tooltip and your quest log (no text parsing, so every
locale works). Kill, loot and progress-bar objectives each have their own icon and colour.
- **Counter**: done / needed (`3/8`, default) or remaining (`5`); a mob that counts for several
objectives shows the one with the most left, or one line each.
- **Placement**: six anchor presets around the health bar, offsets and scale; follows Blizzard's
plates and anchors to Plater, Platynator, ElvUI, Kui and Threat Plates.
- **Quest type badge**: campaign, important, daily / weekly, world quest and bonus objective quests
get a small badge on the objective icon (option, on by default).
- **Finished objectives**: optionally keep a grey counter on enemies that no longer count because
their objective is done (off by default).
- **World quests and bonus objectives**: their mobs are marked too, with the area percentage.
- **Friendly quest NPCs** (experimental, off by default): objectives on friendly NPCs you must talk
to or use an item on.
- **Visibility**: hidden in instances (option, on by default), in combat (option, off by default),
always in Mythic+, and on simplified plates.
- **Options panel** in Options > AddOns, `/npo config`, `/npo test`, `/npo toggle`. English and
  French.
- **Troubleshooting**: `/npo dump` on a mob reports everything a bug report needs (its tooltip
lines, your matching quests and objectives, its nameplate frames) and saves it to
  SavedVariables; `/npo plates`, `/npo frames` and `/npo record` are further diagnostics, listed
by `/npo help`. Secret values are never stored, only a marker in their place.
