MzxRiding

After login/reload, places Skyriding spells back onto the Skyriding bar in a fixed order so the default UI cannot scramble them. Also adds a draggable Mount button group: functional / random flying / random duo mounts.

MzxRiding

Skyriding Action Bar + Mounts

MzxRiding is a lightweight, dependency-free client addon that does two things:

  1. Stops the default UI from scrambling your Skyriding action bar.
  2. Gives you a draggable mount button group — functional / random flying / random duo.

All settings are account-wide: configure once, every character gets it.

Features

1. Skyriding bar lock-in · module skyriding

On login or /reload, if the Skyriding spells are not on any action bar, the default UI auto-places them into random slots (possibly overwriting existing ones), so the order looks scrambled.

This module puts the spells back onto the Skyriding bar (Bonus Bar 5, action slots 121–132) once, in your configured order, after which the game leaves them alone.

Default order:

# Spell
1 Whirling Surge
2 Surge Forward
3 Second Wind
4 Aerial Halt
5 Skyward Ascent

Reorder rows with Up/Down, apply immediately, or restore defaults — all from the config panel.

  • Fires on PLAYER_ENTERING_WORLD and PLAYER_LEVEL_UP
  • Uses C_Spell.PickupSpell + C_ActionBar.PutActionInSlot
  • Touches only action slots 121–132 — your key bindings and other bars are never modified
  • Skipped while in combat (Blizzard API restriction)

2. Mount button group · module mounts

Three buttons in one draggable group (position is saved):

  • Functional mount — left-click summons your primary functional mount; right-click opens a dropdown of the functional mounts you own, tagged with Mail / Repair / Transmog / Auction House / Vendor. Click a row to make it the primary.
  • Random flying mount — left-click summons a random mount from your flying pool (never repeats the previous pick); right-click jumps straight to settings.
  • Random duo mount — same, but drawn from your duo pool.

Settings are split into three sub-tabs:

  • Functional: eight common functional mounts (Brutosaur, Yak, Tundra Mammoth, Sporebearer Fungal Strider, …). Click to set the primary, right-click to summon it directly. Owned-but-unusable-for-this-character mounts are labelled Unavailable.
  • Random Flying: on first use the pool is seeded with every flying mount you own; add or remove freely (Select all / Select none / Summon a random one).
  • Random Duo: Blizzard provides no API that identifies two-seater mounts, so this pool is manually ticked from the list of owned flying mounts.

The button icon always shows the real mount icon (primary / last summoned).

3. Interface language · module language

Ships with 12 languages: English (US / GB), Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, German, French, Spanish (Spain), Spanish (Latin America), Russian, Portuguese (Brazil), Italian.

Pick a language and reload the UI to apply; the choice is persisted. Defaults to your client locale.

Command Action
/mzxr Open settings
/mzxr list List modules and their state
/mzxr on <module> Enable a module
/mzxr off <module> Disable a module

Compatibility

  • Game version: World of Warcraft Retail / Midnight 12.1.5 (Interface 120105)
  • Dependencies: none — no external libraries
  • Saved variables: MzxRidingDB (account-wide)
  • Other addons: the Skyriding module only operates action slots 121–132; the mount button group is a standalone frame and never injects itself into existing action bars
