Myth MacroMKR — CurseForge Description
Paste this into the CurseForge project's Description tab. It is written to be clear and transparent for anyone — guildies or strangers — about exactly what the addon does, what it touches, and what stays private.
Myth MacroMKR™ — your personal macro, keybind & talent toolkit
Myth MacroMKR reads your own World of Warcraft setup and helps you sharpen it — better macros, cleaner keybinds, and talent loadouts organized by what you're actually doing (PvP, Mythic+, Open World, Raid).
Everything it does happens on your computer, for your character. It is not a service you log into. It does not have your account. The recommendations it makes are generated locally and are private to you.
What it does
- 🛠️ Spec-aware macro builder —
/mmk buildmacroswrites clean[spec:N]macros in-game for all 13 classes, so one keybind does the right thing in every spec (e.g. your builder is Mangle as a Guardian, Wrath as Balance). - 📜 Macro toolkit — scans your macros and flags issues (over the 255-char limit, missing target guards,
/castsequencethat break when you mash) so they actually fire when you need them. - 🧬 Talent loadouts — organizes your saved loadouts per activity (
MKR/MMKnaming, e.g.MMK PVP,MMK M+) and switches them with one command — or auto-switches when you zone into a dungeon/raid/arena. - 🛡️ Gear & spec awareness — reads your item level, equipment sets, and every spec/role, and flags mismatches (a PvP trinket while tanking M+, a macro that's dead in your current spec).
- ⚗️ Enchant & gem check —
/mmk gearflags any enchantable slot with no enchant and any empty socket, so you never leave free stats on the table. It updates itself as the patch's enchant rules change. - 🩺 Addon Doctor — on login it checks your addons for out-of-date, incompatible, conflicting, or leftover issues and can auto-fix its own one-shot helpers — never touching your working third-party addons.
/mmk doctor. - ⚙️ Settings panel —
/mmk config— flip auto-switch, auto-logging, and the on-login checks from a simple UI instead of memorizing commands. - 🎯 In-game coaching —
/mmk coachopens a panel of recommendations: a live macro-consistency audit (flags a defensive spread across several macros, which is what makes you fumble the right button under pressure) plus — if you use the companion app — your personalized session recommendations, with one-click Apply for macro fixes. A quiet login nudge tells you when there's something to review. - ⌨️ Keybind awareness — helps you see and organize your bindings.
- 📊 Combat-log helper — reminds you (or auto-enables) combat logging so the optional desktop app always has session data to analyze.
- 🧊 Built and tuned on a Frost Mage main, with general-purpose tooling that works across every class. (Talent-build recommendations are Frost-Mage-only today — more classes coming.)

🔒 Your data stays yours — read this
- This addon runs entirely inside WoW on your PC. WoW does not let addons use the internet, so the addon physically cannot send your data anywhere.
- It reads your macros / keybinds / loadouts and saves its settings to WoW's normal
SavedVariablesfile on your own disk. Nothing is uploaded. There is no account, no tracking, no telemetry. - It generates private, character-specific recommendations that only you see.
🖥️ Optional companion desktop app — Mac & Windows (free)
There's an optional MacroMKR Architect desktop app that reads your local combat logs and turns them into a 🎯 Coaching view — evidence-backed fixes for what actually happened that session: ability effectiveness, wasted casts (overkill / overhealing), survivability, and gear/enchant gaps. The macOS app is signed & notarized by Apple. The addon works fully on its own — the app is a bonus.
👉 Download it here (auto-detects your OS): https://macromkr-web.onrender.com
What to expect:
- 🍎 macOS — signed & notarized by Apple; downloads as a
.zip→ unzip → drag MacroMKR Architect.app to your Applications → double-click. (Mac apps come as a zip/app, not an installer — that's normal.) - 🪟 Windows — downloads as a
.zip→ unzip → run MacroMKR Architect.exe. During this beta the Windows app is not code-signed yet, so Windows may show a "Windows protected your PC" prompt — click "More info → Run anyway" once. (Windows signing is planned for a future release.) - First launch walks you through a quick setup (it finds your characters and asks which is your main). Only characters you've played in the last 6 months are included.
Your data stays yours:
- The app keeps all your game data on your computer.
- The AI analysis is off by default. If you turn it on, only a minimal slice of derived data (your spec, aggregate cast counts, the macros being reviewed) is sent for that one analysis — never your account, identity, or full logs, and nothing is stored on any server.
