MyProfessionGear

MyProfessionGear is a lightweight addon for WoW Classic Era (1.15.5) that automatically equips your ItemRack gear set named “Mining” whenever you hover over a mining node (ore). After a few seconds of not hovering any node, it switches back to your previous gear. This is especially useful if you have specialized gear pieces that give +Mining skill – for example, the Goblin Mining Helmet (+5 Mining) and the Enchant Gloves – Mining (+5 Mining), which together can add +10 skill.

Features

1. Auto-equip your “Mining” set on mouseover of any ore node.
2. Auto-unequip after a short delay when leaving the node.
3. Supports having special items (helmet, gloves/enchant) that increase your Mining skill by up to +10 total.

Requirements

• WoW Classic Era (patch 1.15.5).
• ItemRack installed and loaded.
• A gear set in ItemRack named “Mining” (case-sensitive).
  • Include your Goblin Mining Helmet and +Mining gloves (enchanted or otherwise) in this set for maximum +10 Mining skill.

How It Works

1. The addon checks whether your tooltip indicates a mining node (detecting “Mining” or “Requires Mining”).
2. If you’re hovering over a node, it instantly equips your ItemRack set named “Mining.”
3. Once you move away from the node for a few seconds, it swaps you back to your previous gear set.

Installation Guide

1. Download and install ItemRack (if not already).
2. In ItemRack, create or rename a gear set to exactly “Mining.”
   • Make sure to include your Goblin Mining Helmet (+5 Mining) and any enchanted gloves (+5 Mining) for that +10 skill edge.
3. Place the MyProfessionGear folder in your …/Interface/AddOns/ directory.
4. Launch (or reload) WoW and ensure the addon is enabled on your character selection screen.
5. Hover over a mining node and watch the gear swap into effect automatically!
