MochaAlerts-2.1.0.zip
What's new
[2.1.0] — 2026-09-02
Fixed
- Cooldown Manager alert editor — MochaAlerts TTS and sound options work again
after Blizzard's UI restructure. The rename of the panel's "Add" button was
throwing a Lua error (
attempt to index field 'AddAlertButton') and silently breaking the rest of the integration; it's now handled with a fallback and guarded so a future Blizzard change can't take the whole hook down. - No more
/reloadafter adding an alert — new sound/TTS alerts on a Cooldown Manager entry now apply immediately by refreshing the live tracker caches. - Cooldown Manager trackers no longer break — changing a sound alert used to corrupt the on-screen Tracked Buffs/Bars until a reload. Alerts are now stored with a valid payload (a leftover text marker was poisoning Blizzard's layout save), plus a one-time cleanup that repairs entries saved by older versions.
- Druid charge tracking — Lunar/Solar Eclipse and Incarnation: Chosen of Elune now count charges correctly. These are "override" spells whose casts previously didn't link back to the tracked ability, so alerts never fired.
Changed
- Branded alerts in the Cooldown Manager menu — MochaAlerts-managed alerts now show as "MochaAlerts: <phrase>" in the right-click menu and alert list instead of the raw sound name, and the redundant duplicate menu section was removed.
- No dependency on CooldownManagerCentered — MochaAlerts hooks the built-in Cooldown Manager directly and installs at login, so the integration works for everyone. (CooldownManagerCentered is now only an optional load-order hint.)
- Faster alerts — at the lowest "Poll interval" slider settings, alerts are now evaluated every frame with a drift-free timer, roughly halving detection latency. Higher slider settings are unchanged.
Packaging
- The distribution zip now bundles the required embedded libraries (LibStub, CallbackHandler-1.0, LibDataBroker-1.1, LibDBIcon-1.0) that were missing from the 2.0.0 package.
