MiniChat – your whispers like a messenger app

MiniChat turns whispers, Battle.net messages and channels into one clean window like a modern chat app: conversations on the left, history on the right, the input box at the bottom.

Conversations

• Every person is a conversation – with history, unread messages, pinning, folders, notes and nicknames.
• Online status from friends, Battle.net, guild and group.
• Single windows for individual people (also as tabs), can be minimized.
• Copy, export history, search, reactions, quick replies.

Alts & friends – one person, one conversation

• MiniChat recognizes which characters belong to the same person and merges them into one conversation – no matter which alt someone is writing from.
• Three ways working together: automatically via Battle.net friends, via other MiniChat users (if they allow it) and by hand with a right-click "Merge with another contact".
• Your reply always goes to the character that is online right now – or you pick the recipient yourself at the top of the conversation ("To: …").
• Online notice: a small window tells you when someone comes online or switches to another character – also via Battle.net. One click opens the conversation.
• You decide everything: merge alts automatically on/off, make your own alts recognizable to others or not, split everything again.
• How to do it by hand (e.g. if someone isn't a Battle.net friend): right-click the contact > "Merge with another contact …" > pick the alt. In the same menu afterwards: "Reply goes to …" (pick a fixed character) and "Separate alts …".
• For your own alts too: conversations, history and contacts are the same on all your characters – no matter which one you're playing. Your profile shows all your characters with professions, reputation and achievements.

Mythic+

• During a key you see whispers live in a small window – afterwards everything is sorted in automatically.
• Optional auto-reply and "Do not disturb" during the key.
• Mythic+ tool: keys, rating and best runs for you and your group.

Emojis & stickers

• 500+ custom emojis, raid and dungeon boss stickers, holiday stickers for every world event, an underwater set.
• Players with MiniChat see the pictures; everyone else sees the text.

Translation help

• Phrasebook with ready-made sentences in 7 languages.
• German/English/French/Spanish dictionary with 2,600+ terms, phrases and gaming slang – shows what foreign messages mean. Add and share your own words.

Profile, achievements & group

• Character profile: professions, reputation, talents, achievements – for you and your group.
• Search achievements and post them as links, running holidays with time left, compare achievements.
• Talent calculator, pre-pull buff check, "recently played with".

Make it yours

• 19 ready-made themes – e.g. Standard, Midnight, Black (AMOLED), Retro, Horde, Alliance, Synthwave, Terminal, Frost, Felfire, Arcane, Glass – plus your own theme with every colour adjustable and a live preview.
• Style: gradients, glossy title bar, glowing border, accent line and 4 hand-drawn icon sets (modern, retro, neon, pixel).
• 17 lighting effects like RGB keyboards (rainbow wave, aurora, fire, breathing …) – speed, brightness and colours adjustable.
• 11 complete looks in one click and "My looks": save colours, style and lighting together and share them with friends.
• Font, size, windows, notifications, sounds, channels, privacy – almost everything is adjustable, and every option is explained right next to it.

Easy for everyone

• Short tour on first start, everything in English and German (depending on your game language).
• Modules: every bigger feature can be turned off – MiniChat stays as lean as you like.
• Built-in performance check (/mc perf): shows that MiniChat barely uses any CPU time.

Privacy

MiniChat only exchanges data with other MiniChat users – and only what you allow in the settings (Privacy page). Bag sharing is off by default. No external servers, no third-party databases.

How MiniChat is made

Idea, concept, design and testing: CR0n1k. MiniChat is programmed with the help of AI (Claude by Anthropic) – the emojis, stickers and icons were made that way too. Every version is tested in-game before release.

Inspiration

The idea of using whispers like a real messenger was inspired by the classic WIM (WoW Instant Messenger) – thanks to its authors! MiniChat contains no code from it and is not affiliated with it.

MiniChat macht aus Flüstern, Battle.net-Nachrichten und Kanälen ein übersichtliches Fenster wie in einer modernen Chat-App: links deine Gespräche, rechts der Verlauf, unten das Eingabefeld.

Gespräche

• Jede Person ist ein eigenes Gespräch – mit Verlauf, ungelesenen Nachrichten, Anheften, Ordnern, Notizen und Spitznamen.
• Online-Status aus Freundesliste, Battle.net, Gilde und Gruppe.
• Einzelfenster für einzelne Personen (auch als Reiter), minimierbar.
• Kopieren, Verlauf exportieren, Suche, Reaktionen, Schnellantworten.

Twinks & Freunde – eine Person, ein Gespräch

• MiniChat erkennt, welche Charaktere zur selben Person gehören, und fasst sie zu einem Gespräch zusammen – egal, auf welchem Twink jemand gerade schreibt.
• Drei Wege, die zusammenarbeiten: automatisch über Battle.net-Freunde, über andere MiniChat-Nutzer (wenn sie es erlauben) und von Hand per Rechtsklick „Mit anderem Kontakt zusammenführen“.
• Deine Antwort geht immer an den Charakter, der gerade online ist – oder du legst oben im Gespräch („An: …“) selbst fest, an wen.
• Online-Hinweis: Ein kleines Fenster meldet, wenn jemand online kommt oder auf einen anderen Charakter wechselt – auch über Battle.net. Ein Klick öffnet das Gespräch.
• Du bestimmst alles: Twinks automatisch zusammenführen an/aus, deine eigenen Twinks für andere erkennbar machen oder nicht, alles wieder trennen.
• So geht's von Hand (z. B. wenn jemand kein Battle.net-Freund ist): Rechtsklick auf den Kontakt > „Mit anderem Kontakt zusammenführen …“ > den Twink auswählen. Danach im selben Menü: „Antwort geht an …“ (Charakter fest wählen) und „Twinks trennen …“.
• Auch für deine eigenen Twinks: Gespräche, Verlauf und Kontakte sind auf allen deinen Charakteren gleich – egal, mit welchem du gerade spielst. Dein Profil zeigt alle deine Charaktere mit Berufen, Ruf und Erfolgen.

Mythic+

• Im Key siehst du Whispers live in einem kleinen Fenster – danach wird alles automatisch einsortiert.
• Optional automatische Antwort und „Nicht stören“ während des Keys.
• Mythic+ Werkzeug: Keys, Wertung und beste Läufe von dir und deiner Gruppe.

Emojis & Sticker

• Über 500 eigene Emojis, Raid- und Dungeon-Boss-Sticker, Fest-Sticker zu jedem Weltereignis, Unterwasser-Set.
• Wer MiniChat hat, sieht die Bilder; alle anderen sehen den Text.

Übersetzungshilfe

• Sprachführer mit fertigen Sätzen in 7 Sprachen.
• Wörterbuch Deutsch/Englisch/Französisch/Spanisch mit über 2600 Begriffen, Wendungen und Gaming-Sprache – zeigt bei fremden Nachrichten, was gemeint ist. Eigene Wörter ergänzen und teilen.

Profil, Erfolge & Gruppe

• Charakter-Profil: Berufe, Ruf, Talente, Erfolge – von dir und deiner Gruppe.
• Erfolge suchen und als Link posten, laufende Feste mit Restzeit, Erfolge vergleichen.
• Talentrechner, Buff-Check vor dem Pull, „Zuletzt zusammen gespielt“.

• 19 fertige Designs – z. B. Standard, Mitternacht, Schwarz (AMOLED), Retro, Horde, Allianz, Synthwave, Terminal, Frost, Teufelsfeuer, Arkan, Glas – plus dein eigenes Design mit jeder Farbe frei wählbar und Live-Vorschau.
• Stil: Verläufe, Glanz-Titelleiste, leuchtender Rand, Akzent-Linie und 4 selbst gezeichnete Symbol-Sätze (modern, retro, neon, pixel).
• 17 Licht-Effekte wie bei RGB-Tastaturen (Regenbogen-Welle, Polarlicht, Feuer, Atmen …) – Tempo, Helligkeit und Farben einstellbar.

• Module: Jede größere Funktion lässt sich einzeln ausschalten – MiniChat bleibt so schlank, wie du willst.
• Leistungscheck eingebaut (/mc leistung): zeigt, dass MiniChat kaum Rechenzeit braucht.

Privatsphäre

MiniChat tauscht Daten nur mit anderen MiniChat-Nutzern aus – und nur das, was du in den Einstellungen erlaubst (Seite „Privatsphäre“). Der Taschen-Abgleich ist ab Werk aus. Keine externen Server, keine fremden Datenbanken.

Wie MiniChat entsteht

Idee, Konzept, Gestaltung und Tests: CR0n1k. Programmiert wird MiniChat mit Hilfe von KI (Claude von Anthropic) – auch die Emojis, Sticker und Symbole sind so entstanden. Jede Version wird im Spiel getestet, bevor sie erscheint.
