Mind Soothe

Mind Soothe is for tanks, healers, and anyone running tough dungeons. It is designed to help users overcome "tank anxiety," and it helps healers and DPS as well.  “Get a thicker skin” is troll advice.  If a bully was punching me at school every day, would your advice be, “let the bully keep punching you until it doesn’t hurt anymore?”

The ToxFilter half cleans up hostile chat while keeping the useful bits — "move out of fire you trash tank" becomes "move out of fire."  You still get the information you need without any toxicity.  This addpn filters not just insults, but harm invocations and identity attacks.  It also does not necessarily filter mature language.  It is designed to know “you f*ing suck” is an attack to block while “you f*ing rule” is praise.

The Uplifter half brings you better focus: it reminds you of dungeon mechanics and includes optional grounding tools like box-breathing and a pre-pull checklist to prevent tilt.  It also saves positive comments you receive like "great heals" to reinforce the positive people in your runs.  Mind Soothe does not replace addons like DBM or BigWigs.  You still have to learn the fights, but it provides quick reminders before the pull so you can focus on the game.  

Mind Soothe cannot function during boss combat, unfortunately, due to Blizzard's Midnight addon adjustments.  I know that is an important time for an addon like this but I cannot fix this limitation.  Most toxic comments seem to come after a wipe, when the addon is functioning again.

I also struggle with tank anxiety. I hope this addon can help myself and others push past this barrier. 

AI Disclosure: I am a solo developer and I used Claude to help write the code and get this addon out as quickly as possible.  The addon does not (and cannot) pass any information to any AI or LLM.  Also, it only affects your chat: it does not filter chat on other players' screens.
